Pssh. It's a great table, especially for Premier and its year. It doesn't compare to the 1987 Williams tables but not much does. It's the Premier which I least mind being repeated in the tournaments, and it has surprisingly deep strategy... how to make maximum use of the 8X must not be obvious...
No, it's the left ramp. The one that takes you up to the mini-playfield in the upper left. It's pretty close to the center though, maybe that's why you're missing it?
I know I have almost no experience with almost all Sterns, so I have to assess them from pictures and videos. It seems like at least the recent Stern LE's have had some substantial playfield component(s) that are not on the non-LE versions, so I probably assumed this had been the case for a lot...
I think the deficits in TPA tables compared to the real ones are more alike among tables than particular to different tables. All TPA tables have these problems, in my order of importance:
- On TPA tables, center shots are much harder, and far-left and -right shots, and severe backhands, are...
Yeah, I checked out the list on IPDB, and this looks like the only difference of import (I looked at several pics of the regular and LE and didn't see any big deal about the other differences, though I might have a different opinion if I compared them in person):
Extra toys on the playfield is...

You caught me. I usually get 500 or 2000 scores per table, but this month only got 200 because I didn't want to wait so long. This should have near-zero probability of making any difference in the rankings, but I forgot I had the number of top 500 scores per player. Oops! I have been meaning...
Eels - "Last Stop: This Town" (1998)
Here's a great song from one of the most criminally underappreciated classic albums: Eels' Electro-Shock Blues. It has some of the most emotional heft of any album, dealing with loss and madness in in shockingly adult fashion. This song is not the best on...
I don't find it random, but the ball comes out of the jackpot hole's kickout down the L inlane super fast. It's gotta be much faster than on the real thing, which is a problem I think TPA has. They probably chose that as a way to make tables not so easy.
On PC/keyboard, you can side-nudge to...
Wow, very interesting choice. I'm curious why you're picking it? I played it quite a bit but still consider it mostly unfamiliar... I don't think I ever got to the wizard(s?) and certainly didn't master it. It's one of my pet loves.
I love these kinds of questions :). I would want to be as assured as I could of getting as many hours of fun as possible, so my main considerations, in order, with examples, would be:
1) A table I'm not familiar with (most post-2000 Sterns),
2) Which has deep and complex rules (TZ),
3) Strong...
