Since this is the feedback thread I have to note that after playing Medieval Madness for a bit earlier I'm really happy with how much they fixed in the table. It's actually much more possible to gain control normally now since the ball speed in general seems slightly lower, and the insane...
At least with other games you have to buy the DLC from the same PSN service the original game was bought from. So buying DLC from the UK PSN store will most likely not work with the US version of the game. I haven't tested myself though so can't say 100% sure if this is the case with TPA.
On black hole the key problem area is the lower playfield lock. Putting a ball into the lock is always a hazard, and it seems to be even more so if there's already a ball in there. I've lost count of the times I've had a game end because of that shot. It's not an ideal solution (since it's...
I can't remember any others offhand, but I think I got around 12 million from a superfrenzy once by stacking it with the regular frenzy for extra time and feeding the ball into the pop bumpers as many times as I could.
This was asked in round 1 but sort of sidestepped due to being bundled in with the operator menu question.
I'd like to know if there are plans for a tournament mode fixed gameplay (sans extra balls, possibly other modifications) type with separate leaderboards. It would be extremely welcome with...
I'd definitely personally pay $5 per table, and probably $10-$20 each for the premium license ones. I'm however not the main target market and I'm sure farsight has done some studies on where the sweet spot is for profit. I have no way of knowing, but it's entirely possible they would make less...
This is just either bad luck, or limited by ball instead of per game. I had 11 regular billion shots in my over-attempt. I can't recall offhand what balls they happened in though so it is possible it maxes by ball. If I had to guess I'd say it doesn't actually cap. The third choice I guess would...
This is a good point, but sadly the scoring problems aren't limited to the billion point shot. The same grind you do for those shots also gives you 10 and 50 million point shots which makes any kind of scoring on the table completely meaningless. Breaking 1B even without ever hitting the billion...
Myeah that's what I meant. I tested it and TPA itself will roll the score over when you reach 10B. Probably for the best though, since competing for who can hit the most billion shots would be pretty silly anyway.
As an aside I had some free time today and tested it out and the scoring cap is indeed 10 billion. Going over that will roll you back to 0. That makes it kind of interesting that on the PS3 leaderboard there are mobile scores listed above that mark, but I tend to ignore mobile scores anyway due...
Just as a note here, but while I'm not an expert on the subject from what I've heard out of farsight and others I'm pretty sure that it's actually a lot more work to make the table work like the original if you have to build up everything yourself instead of emulating the ROM. Syncing every...
Even worse than that even if you ignore the billion point shots the big wheel still has a 50 million score on it which outstrips everything else on the table by a large margin. It's really just horrible design on that entire thing.
Voted for Jackbot since while I haven't actually played it myself the PAPA video makes it seem like a great table. Bride is probably slightly better thematically, but whoever designed the scoring system for it ruined everything.
Hi,
I had an issue where I had had a multiball going, and one ball drained. The face hadn't yet turned because I hadn't shot the small wheel hole or the face. I made a backdoor billion, and the camera instantly zoomed to the face when it turned over. I couldn't retain view of the remaining ball...
After some more playing on Bride it's kind of a worthless table for scoring overall. I made 1.7B in my high score game from not-billion shots, so even if the table had separate leaderboards it wouldn't matter much since you can hit the lower cap far too easily. As a side note does anyone know if...
I've been wondering about something that may or may not fit this thread, but what do people mean when they say the ball goes through the flippers? I know about the thing in the black hole lower playfield left flipper, but other than that in probably well over a hundred hours of playing the...
One interesting thing I noticed when testing ToM again was that the captured balls on the left seem to have lost texturing or something. Is that an oversight or are they painted pure white on the real life table? It's really a silly thing to complain about but I was pretty surprised since they...
You don't need to install the DLC separately. If you bought and downloaded them, just go to the store and download the demo. Once that's installed you can just start Pinball Arcade normally and you'll have all the new tables. The DLC tables you can actually see in the game list are the Vita...
Heh hi, yeah I posted pretty much the same rant in both places, because I was really irritated by that stuff. It's a shame really because the table is otherwise extremely well done.
