When I was growing up, anyone with a Northern Irish accent was a terrorist (or the Rev. Iain Paisley, but YOU KNEW IT WAS HIM BECAUSE OF THE VOLUME), no questions asked.
How times have changed.
York Show in a couple of weeks, maybe take some notes and pics while I'm down there. Between this thread and Jeff Strong's thread, I'm getting antsy myself....
TAF, I understand.
But TZ... well the main theme music in TZ is based on the song "Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring, perhaps best known for their song "Radar Love".
Golden Earring are, of course, a Dutch band :P
If you could do that, what would you do to insert credits? One thing these virtual tables don't have are real coin slots and the physical switches that are triggered when a coin of the correct size/weight passes through the slots. Nor is there any means of simulating this input since it's a...
There's a video somewhere on the forum posted by a Farsight employee not that long ago... in the iOS section. The thread is nothing to do with Dr Who, but the demonstration in the video uses Dr Who.
No, the bottom-left flipper. I honestly forgot that there were other flippers. Maybe someone can make a video showing the shot... I know I've done it a number of times myself, and it was a game-changer when I learned about it.
Exactly what I did.
...exactly what I did.
Yes, but this is Safecracker. I can't simply "enjoy" it. The whole aim of the game is winning tokens, and it's far from enjoyable: frustrating, random, infuriating, stupid, pointless, are just a few examples of how I feel about it. Heck even smacking balls around in Goin' Nuts is more *fun*.
Of those 6 - Kiss will definitely happen since it's post-Star Trek, with the assumption being that Stern started including digital rights in all table licenses from at least Star Trek, and possibly, anecdotally, Metallica.
So Metallica might also be a gimme, too, but surprised it's not part of...
At least in the UK you don't get prescription drug commercials, or, worse, political campaign ads. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss good old Party Political Broadcasts (probably because I could do just that, deliberately miss them).
Porting to touch-screen tablets would be great. Just drag the ball around with your finger. Isn't that how ball control in Pro mode works anyway?
For consoles, just implement a cursor with the left stick, like it is in the new UI. Or again, how does ball control work in Pro mode on consoles?
Simple tip that will make your life so much easier: backhand the captive ball from the left flipper. It's a narrow gap but it's surprisingly not difficult to pull off. Easy 3-ball multiball restart.
(Guess what one of the Wizard goals might be. Go on....)
Embryon is strange, it has this big ol' funny thing in the middle of the playfield. Hard to describe it. I think it has one or more captive balls in it. I played it once or twice, fairly recently (as in, in the past 2 or 3 years since I started going to shows).
Space Invaders looks great...
Gonna say Earthshaker since I got all the Wizard goals in a single game in about 10 minutes on my tablet the other day. If that isn't easy, I don't know what is.
