We now know that Farsight will release a table next month, probably based on a Sony license. In the latest interview we learned that this will not be a completely new table, but a mod table.
This will probably be on a stand-alone app.
Big question: Will it be based on a table they have...
Did I get this information right? Farsight has already finished an original table based on a Sony license and they are releasing it for Halloween on a separate app? If I heard it right, they must have really rushed this to get it finished.
A little worried that they did not give it the love it...
That tier is the only thing that saved T2. It was not looking good before Farsight announced the Beta tester tier. It got them 18 000$ extra in a hurry.
I agree, to some degree. I think Tron is the exception. The Cora shot feels really nice when you nail it, and the almost impossible to master Gem shot feels original, also. There has probably been shots like them before but to me they feel fresh, somehow. Maybe it's just me, but those shots...
That's exactly have I feel. There is a reason why I sold my ST TNG. That machine is no anger management treatment or healthy for people with a high blood pressure ;)
So far, I am gladly taking the punishment of BSD and coming back for more pain
Both hard and fun is always a tricky combination, but I think both the original and Farsight did it on this table. It's a table with very few features when you compare it to other machines from the same area, Yet it is so fun trying to stack multiballs on this that it really does not need any...
Agree on all points! TPA feels a lot more like the real thing than Zen. If we must compare TPA to other pinball engines, the only real contest is PRO pinball and the old PRO pinball engine is still superior to TPA, in my opinion. Not meant to put TPA engine down. It is still good, but there is...
I think you just described every modern Stern pinball machine here, not just John Borg.
Yes, Steve Ritchie games usually have more flow and I tend to like them better in the long run, but John Borg playfields are a lot more varied than SR tables, in my view. He does have a big toy up the middle...
TPA doing an original table based on a Sony license, sounds interesting. Ghostbusters, perhaps? And other tables based on Sony licenses, also. Kinda huge news. Spiderman is a pretty nice table, Farsight ;)
Would love to see a list of possibilities regarding Sony licenses from others. Let the...
Congrats and welcome to the club, ER777. I have a Premium Roadcase with a monster translite, myself. Looks a lot better than the band translite.
It's a killer machine. I do not agree that it is better than ac/dc, but the art package is a lot better, no contest there.
Still, there is a lot of room for improvements.
Just on the top of my head: The flipper aiming physics could be a bit more accurate. (it gets worse towards the tip of the flipper, meaning that you often have to hit it earlier than on a real machine)
The ball often speeds up when it comes to...
Someone had a request for Judge Dredd in the thread about BSD on Facebook and Farsight gave a reply that makes me think we might see it in Season 4. Can't remember what it was exactly. Something like "We would love to do that" with a smiley at the end.
Not much to go on but it caught my eye...
I would rank them as follows:
1. Lord of the rings
2. The Simpsons pinball party
3. Indiana Jones
4. The Shadow
5. Dr. Who
6. Guns 'N' Roses
7. Jurassic Park
8. Tommy
9. Star Wars
10. Back to the future
But Demolition Man, Judge Dredd and WCS 94 would come in at nr. 6 or there about if I could...
