well i dunno about other zen side-products, but going from just plain-jane "zen pinball" on ps3 and ios - i don't envy!!!! the little buttons to select tables is only just gonna get smaller... and my main (ps3) is still connected to a CRT tv and not lcd - so "reading" each table title is an...
beh!! you just answered a long-lingerin' q in my head... surely isn't a pre-multi-K budget in terms of experimenting with (real-world electronics/pb maintenance). i know i'd love to get into the biz, but i never quite entirely took to those "radio shack" kits when i was a kid - i loved playing...
yeah, "new tables" FUN!!!! :)
CYCLONE: can't say it's a favorite new one off the bat, but it is a ginchy one for an older machine (happy that TPA gives these their day, as i'd missed so many older machines). somehow reminds me a bit of nordman's "dr. dude" and "party zone" in play and rampage...
ohh geez, yah just look up some youtube viddys of it... nnnice "real" lighting effects! :)
good note to make, i'd now noticed this second time of it happening - if you're only occassionally on-then-offline, then note that the ps3 system update (easy to check up top of the 'settings' menu, if...
:0 i don't know if it's totally accurate a table to ref, but i found a site:
http://www.vgchartz.com/analysis/platform_totals/
seems to show total ps4 sales -still- behind the old atari 2600 - lol! :)
and -that's- about double xbox1's current standing.
and they've both got a lengthy...
you are far too kind to my comments jonesjb! :) thanks - real respect for the hardcore heavy-thinkers who started and spearhead this thread though... :) i think it was harvey pekar in "american splendor" paraphrased it best... "this pinball is... complicated stuff!"
i'm no savvy of net-working, but using a desktop/laptop as a WIFI repeater to another device seems like a likely weak point - i was thinking about that the other night! maybe some port-vacuum siphoning off data packets...
doh! ;0 well that's on me; i digressed a lot while thinking about why i hadn't much tuned into the MM/AFM tables before... i tend to ramble a lot with my thoughts. :) (lol ever notice? ;0)
and i grok that too, at this level of thinking about it, yeah "modes is/are just another scoring" - makes...
oh, i hate to get into the middle of this... ;0 but i must, i must! "brethren, why can't all we come together - the people-who-hate-people party?" ;0 (nod to tha bill hicks fans out there! ;0)
other than that if there's a first "name brand" i know in pinball, it's lawlor (i did my best to...
i suppose if there's a design element about tables like MM that i don't like, it's that they seem to center around just -one- toy, right up center - everything else is just ramps either side, in varying forms. shoot, stern's modern "star trek" does that too! (that may save on costs...
still lovin' this thread; it's interesting stuff! :) i will preface this again saying that most tables, i've only played in TPA, so the "real world" play factor is tough for me to give a valid opinion about. but, i think in terms of ruleset, and build/layout (without factoring in "play" so...
wow well, it goes without saying that all this news news is most excellent!! :)
invitro ("are we ourselves?" - "and do we really know!" ;0), if i may latch onto a quote there of bobby's: "If we made a digital table and it sold a million copies and it was feasible to build it in the real world...
i too finally realized how much that lamp makes a diff in nights pet3r back a few months ago when it was TOTW... once i started grabbing the lamp option instead of the jewel in the bazaar, i found my score sudeenly, dramatically crank waaaaaay up! like at least 500-800% over my old game...
reading all this and trying to keep my big mouth shut, lol... :) because i am definitely no expert player! but too avid to not listen in to this cool super-serious shoptalk; totally geek out on that stuff...
here's my q from the peanut gallery: of course all us TPA players are familiar with the...
i didn't know there was a shaker in that one; the one here at the 'mat must have that disabled/removed. bummer, it'd be fun to see how that feels in a real machine! (or maybe i've never gotten far enough on it to activate it; i haven't gotten too much practice on it yet)
can't help but love keith moon-era who; he was a madman - but "i need you" for me means the kinks, big-time - one of the best songs EVER in the history of the universe!
and oh, i could go on a long time about midnight oil - but if you've never given them much of a chance, check this one out - and TURN IT UP LOUUUUUD! there's a reason many aussies still call them "the best band in the world!"
that fixx video is one from way back; only remembered it after watching it - looked like they stole the set for the video from duran duran just after they shot "rough boys" lol! i prefer their darker edged stuff...
late p.s., i effed up and remembered late last night, i think that duran duran...
and then, speaking of lil' johnny lydon, i have to post his commercial - yes, he did a commercial once! (or at least, once that i know of)... and for BUTTER, of all things. he musta had some overdue taxes to pay off...
