kutiman is a musician who one day some time ago decided to try dling a bunch of yt vids of people showing themselves practicing their musical instruments, and try mashing 'em together... the youtube-generation's EBN and such like that! brilliant - and a real home-grown breakbeat!! awesome how he...
BRILLLLLLIANT... the "wilhelm scream" of music! never knew of the winstons, but dig their booker-t vibe! thanks for feeding this music-geek some much-needed trivia lol... :)
sorry for the VEVO commercial... one that is as much for the classic eighties viddy as is for the cool tune!
turns out their three CDs are kinda outta print; "reach the beach" with this and "saved by zero" (their other halfway-famous one, dark tune for pop radio) is the easiest obtained...
appropos of nuthin'... ;) i posted some favorite old music elsewhere tonight, and had me thinking about what other meuuuu-zac's been in my mind lately... this track always entrances my mind, when i'm staring off at banks of billowy, pillowy clouds in the sky, as if they were mountains on the...
speaking of famous "breakbeats" - can anyone tell me the origin of this obviously very famous and over-used snaredrum sample?? just curious, something that's bugged me all these years... be forewarned though, the asterisks are there for a reason! ;0
(anyone into hu-eavy heavy metal/industrial...
:) well if xenon's the "worst" this season's put up (and i wouldn't necessarily disagree, if you're grading on a scale! ;0) - then it's been a great season. :) it sure ain't "goin' nuts" or something!
p.s. hey i like POTO too! ;) and i ain't finnish...
:) agreed, "south park" is probably the most "real" table zen's produced yet, it feels like when i play it... i love "butter's" table too, although it's kinda typically arbitrarily super-difficult, super-repetitive, super-short timers as many other zen tables go... made "easy" to flipper-catch...
until next time... keep yer feet on the ground... bend over... stick yer head between your knees, and kiss your a$$ goodbye! ;0
chill, chill... when they finally get here, i'm a-buyin' 'em... :) can only salivate over the iPod versions; not near enough tilt control to really make it worthwhile...
you'd have to be born blind for an accurate answer... gets into the whole "born crip or become one by accident" thing like in the "crips & bloods" epi of south park they repeated a night or two ago (one of my favorites, toooooo funny!)
p.s. suggests they delete this thread for becoming too...
ahhh, thanks; -i- mistyped 'farris' in list originally! fixed now... yah, he's awesome; love that old centaur artwork! and phantom is lush too... he's obviously a more "painterly" artist with the tables than the usual cartoony-style... nothing wrong with that, but it's nice to see different styles!
awesome, thanks! was just adding on to the gomez+collabs listing invitro provided... thinking about it though, i may decide later to not include NPA (Not in Pinball Arcade) tables, cuz that would obviously make the list spin outta control, like that BBC "Connections" show! but for some designers...
heh!! :) pulled that up easily... very fun! seems like a really affable kinda guy i'd like to work with, if i were so lucky to! :) great under "bryant gumbel" pressure, lol! that last q, "why has pinball lasted?" i'd recently thought, there's no other game like it that challenges you - and you...
:) yeah and there's him too; one sole listing really for medieval madness... and just for a "rules" mention... quite a mystery story there! we need a stephen levy's "hackers" style book covering the pb industry to fill in the gaps..
wooooow, so he's just still so 'new' that more of his stuff hasn't gotten in yet... very impressive list!! somewhere back a ways someone posted a vid of johnny m, i rather liked what i saw - would be a cool one to add to TPA, if it can be done!
nifty-neato; i'll add your notes di-rectly! :)
p.s. done and done! let me know if i messed up though addin' your corrections; fear i might've missed up somethin' there...
p.p.s. i tell ya it just gives such a new perspective on it all, especially for those of us who pinball was kind of a 'lost...
