The very legitimate concern is that if any of your tables were purchased through the TPA app and not say through Steam, you need to log in to play, otherwise it will show those tables as being locked. Same goes for people that contributed to a Kickstarter or won the tables through a FarSight...
I like the track ball instead of joystick option. Keeps things nice and flat. It's so tricky figuring out all the 'extra' buttons, as each digi pin game seems to use different buttons for different functions. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
I’ve seen a ton of ColorDMD’s work because the guy that runs my pinball league is one of the owners of that company. I have seen the pics for MBR, and I’ve akso played MMR with color. I really wish Zen would colorize some of their DMDs as well as offer the option for WMS that have had it done...
If it's any consolation, hitting the catapult on a real MM is quite challenging too. I just tried it in FX3 though, and yeah it just likes to bounce of the post, doesn't it? I hit it from a runner, not once from a trapped ball. Like I said though, that's about the same result as when I've played...
There was a time, prior to deregulation in the late 80's (I think?) when a network couldn't own the show it was airing, nor could it own the local affiliate it was broadcast on. I want to say the introduction of Fox as a network was when that change happened. And even though Fox had been...
Who doesn’t remember walking past After Burner, hanging a right at Dragons Lair, and then going through the curtains between TMNT and Zaxon to play pinball? I think it’s where the video stores got the idea from for the ‘adult’ section.
Kidding aside, when I went to Arcade Expo a few years back...
The ColorDMD for Cirqus Voltair is something to behold. Once you've put a bit of time into any of the ColorDMDs though, the vanilla amber version just seems odd.
I have played on a real table (not FT and can't remember which) where it was set up like that, but it was done on purpose. It truly messes with your head. I've played on tables that were set up for foot peddles too, but the worst is when they set it up for 'drunk flippers' where left is right...
I didn't get to spend a lot of time with it when I saw it up at FarSight, but there are certain tables that really come alive with it. I know for me Whirlwind really was a standout while something like AFM sorta fell into the novelty category. I think certain layouts just benefit more from it...
Were you expecting the Iron Maiden table to be available? I mean c’mon! And yes, MM plays at the speed it should in FX3, while no, FX3’s instructions aren’t close to how complete they are in TPA. That’s actually the one win I give to FarSight. An argument could be made for lighting since TPA has...
Your mind adapts after a few minutes and soon you are back to just trying to beat the table as presented. Just don’t go from Zen to TPA back to back, as that’s way too jarring!
Always review how a game is, not how it could be. If there are bugs that deter from your enjoyment, make mention and score based on how much the affect you. A game could be riddled with bugs but still be extremely enjoyable, same as a game that runs flawlessly could be an utter drag.
I'm sorry, but I can't help but laugh at this.
We actually ripped quite a bit on this for the podcast this week, but the fact it gets even worse as you level up, wow. I sorta ran into this with the Skillz app, which FarSight and Zen have games on. Each time you play a match, you earn 'ticketz'...
I’m also saying that from the perspective of having seen the short film for years one way and then suddenly having it presented in this altered manner.
Hehe, you’re not wrong about that. Initially I was going to make it a 1 ball tourney so that’s why I set that. Then I changed my mind and forgot to change it. Still, useful if you didn’t want to shoot the wizard hole cuz you were trying for full multiball, but accidentally did.
So am I the only one that didn't realize how much of Wild West Rampage is the same layout as Addams Family? Huh.
