Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

We keep having trouble understanding each other :-) Maybe my English is not up to par, it's not my native language in any case. Anyway, I don't have a problem other than that my iPad Air 2 has broken tables since the latest updates (there are some bug threads already around). So I switched back...

    NBA Regular Season

I just learned that a ball that stays up at the rim like this (but without coming down) is called a "pigeon", when really stuck between ring and board is called a "wedgie".

iOS - Bug 4.4.0 Crashes on plunge, many tables

Those ramps look nice though :mad:

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

I get what you are saying, my iPhone is behind too, and this is not a problem because I rarely play on it. The issue I'm referring to is that I now play both on my iPad 2 and Air 2 and when changing devices want them to be both in sync.

    iPad Air 2

I play on one (besides an iPad 2) and don't recognize your issue on the whole, however: using the small flipper on SST does seem to have some lag and yesterday I thought I had a dead spot on AFM, it affected the right flipper. I'll experiment some more and report back about it.

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

Strafe from side to side and try to not go beyond the point where you shoot at the upper left and right corners. Don't try to hit individual saucers and use the bomb when one threatens to land. Wait until it almost lands because then you use the full effect of the bomb on the rest of the saucers...

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

Aiming for the letters, especially M and N is quite dangerous I think. Those two don't get lit easily by random ricochets and if that happens, the ball is dangerously close to the outlanes. I also think that the letters don't get lit while in other MB (regulare MB, TA or even Strobe), otherwise...

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

Multiball does get harder because you have to light the locks in between locks (which means 6 middle ramps for MB), for the first MB one light locks is enough to light all three (needing only 4 middle ramp shots). Besides that, no difference in playing MB.

New update just up on App Store

Hi Canuck, Good to know that is what also resets the scores. It's not my total experience with resetting though, I just used the app updater via the Store and also had to do a remote restore afterwards without touching anything else. It's a pity that updating either TPA and/or iOS is getting to...

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

Multiple ROTU's are possible (I think I once got up to three in a good game), they show up as "re-election #" if done in the same game, after the animatic of you waving in the flying car. Getting to ROTU again gets easier because you don't have to destroy all saucers and Mars again. Then again...

PC - Request New member and a question.

Hello fellow Dutchie, any chance last name is Keunekamp? Then we met recently at the last DPO and I thanked you for your inspirational instruction VHS tape on flipper technique. If not, still nice to see a new member!

    Bug 4.4.1 Camera broken

No problem with iPad Air 2, but had to adjust camera and other settings as if this was a clean install. And had to do a remote restore for scores and HOF points

New update just up on App Store

Nice ramps though HOF points gone but back with remote backup No fix for broken Firepower table since SST release No fix for still broken POTO since POTO release

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

I think it's funny when people are trying to pass the 100B mark for their entire game, and you talk about a bonus for one ball being upwards of 100B. That was a massive game for sure. I just looked up some real life machine high score lists...

    Awesome interview with Tarek Oberdieck

Loving the pic, I can imagine that the outfit does help to get great scores, do you scare your adversaries much? :) And about WOZ: what EOS said, it's actually a very deep ruleset that maybe caters more to the home crowd owners than the casual player on location. My friend hasn't seen the...

Table of the Week Club...week 2 : FIREPOWER

I found this to be true of a lot of real life machines I played that have TPA counterparts (I'm up to 26 machines I played both for real and in TPA). I actually did some in-depth threads of those comparisons, I believe at least for CFTBL and STTNG. Although both of those were in "well-played"...

    Awesome interview with Tarek Oberdieck

Hi Viking, I know a lot of people who were brought up with Williams/Bally that don't really like those new Sterns. I wonder if you got a chance to check out Jersey Jack's first machine, Wizard of Oz? I know a guy who has worked on the LCD display for it, and has one at home now (just a block...

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

If you want them to sync, you have to manually do a remote backup on the device that's "in front" and do a remote restore on the device that's catching up, this offcourse providing that you use the same account. This is how I use my pair of iPads and keep them in sync. I wouldn't do that by the...

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

:) I just did a "quick" game of 43B (4th place on my HS list) and I think it was about 15-20 minutes max. But scoring is a bit hap-hazard on this table. I had a 22B TA that lasted maybe 5-6 minutes that made up about half of the total score. If you get to ROTU then it's around a 10B jump and...

Table of the Week Club...week 3: ATTACK FROM MARS

I recall video mode available again after getting ROTU. The key to completing video mode is getting rhytm with strafing sideways, best to not go all the way because it then takes too long to get back in time.
