I want to confirm that "07-015: Camera locks onto backglass after Cannonball Run" still happens in the PC version, and is the worst bug on the list because it is game-killing.
It happens unrelated to the cannonball flying out of the backbox. I got Cannonball Run, launched only one cannonball...
Hmm, ok. I play on PC which doesn't have the HOF goals so was going from memory.
I remember chasing 27M on Taxi for some reason but now can't remember why. Replay is much lower than that and there isn't any score wizard goal, right?
Bride's billionaire bumps are hilarious, awesome visualization! El Dorado has similar lumpiness because bonus is so dominant, the score is heavily quantized around the number of EBs earned.
Dr Dude is legit I'm sure, Tarek Oberdieck is a great player, has been for years on the Pro Pinball...
Same as Sean. Table music most of the time, though on some it's annoying and I just turn it off entirely. No outside music.
Protip: turning off the music on Class of 1812 also turns off the annoying voiceovers. I think I remember that working on Dr. Dude as well.
Well, Collect Bonus. :)
AFM itself shows what happens otherwise. The wizard mode enables sort of an "everything is lit" feature in Victory Laps, which isn't limited in any of those ways. And it does become unbalanced after a while of raising the Laps value, coming to dominate the normal...
Exactly what I was going to say. It's not just the score limit, there's several ways of accessing the purchase workflow from within the TPA program. Any smart company would have set it up to know which of the pair drove the purchase. Of course it's not a perfect indicator of every user's...
Everything mentioned there is part of a multiple-movie franchise, that's why that "single-movie" qualifier. Although it's true that SWE1, Indy, Tron Legacy make little or no reference to the older installments. I remember being surprised when Stern did Avatar since Gary had a policy for quite...
Last Action Hero got stomped by Jurassic Park which opened one week before and thoroughly dominated movie mindshare for the year.
Space Jam might have been the last single-movie pinball table until Avatar.
Haunted House's problem is the flippers are too strong. With no ramps, there's no need for that much power, which produces rebounds that are faster than they should be. Pinbot has the same problem which is why shots bounce out of the eyes all the time unlike the real table.
TPA will count the roll but the ROM won't, so you might stop there if you want the ROM to know what you've done.
But you can get closer, don't the left loop or heartbeat ramp score 100K or some such? Or there's also the ball 3 skill shot.
TZ for me. Even after a 12-hour marathon for the high score list, I still enjoy pulling it out for just one quick door and LITZ every now and then.
AFM occasionally too.
Big Shot loves to tempt me into thinking it's a relaxation table, then I get stuck on it for two hours still making serious...
Nah, TPA is still easier. I got to three High Noons in one game within a day of playing it on TPA. On the real machine, one High Noon is at the edge of my skill. Most of the difference is in catching the Bart and bumper returns which are easy on TPA but unpredictable on the real thing.
That...
TPA's flippers do this on every table. The base of the flipper isn't as strong as it should be, so running shots don't go straight up like they should. MM is the worst, but it's also noticeable on Pinbot, Funhouse shooting for the lock lane, Whitewater aiming for Disaster Drop, Space Shuttle's...
Aim later than you think for the lock. The angle of the shot relative to the flipper is a bit weird, it's not nearly as smooth as orbit shots in games like TZ/AFM/MB. But an early shot is death off the ramp standup, while a late shot usually caroms upward and is saveable.
Also try playing...
I guess I approve of this ranking system. :) Although I'm on top from quantity as much as quality, I've taken the time on every single table to push into a decent leaderboard spot, except season 3 and MM. Some of the unpopular ones like Victory and El Dorado I had my #1 spot in just one day of...
Mods, tell me if the topic drift is unwelcome and if this should go somewhere else. :)
My 12-hour games are most often two days, sometimes three. One trick: Whenever I leave the game for a while, especially overnight, I do it just as some multiball mode is starting. That lets me settle in on...
Teed Off brought me around to liking it quite a bit. Yeah, the voice quotes are annoying. But the pinballing is actually pretty good, with some novel layout and flow, and surprisingly deep rules. The scoring looks horribly unbalanced, but then actually converges back to balance at the high...
