I download a digital game copy only if:
- the game is only downloadable (no retail version)
- there is a big price drop for the digital version (and only if the price is cheaper than an used game copy)
Otherwise, as said above, to have a physical copy is a lot much safer (in case of servers...
The "rumor" says that the Sony's approval process takes around 6 weeks, starting from the submission date.
The megapatch has been submitted two weaks ago... and FlippyFloppy stated that the patch would be released mid-late March, if everything goes right.
But with Sony, I don't bet on this...
Yuck, Facebook, where people forget all polite manners. No kind of such behaviors in the TPA Fans Forums (I guess :p). Too bad you have to refrain your announcements because of some dumb guys.
Thanks for the news, FlippyFloppy.
One more question for the road :p :
Is the megapatch a "one shot" patching process, or will it be possible to patch again a table after it?
Let's say, for example, that a new big bug pops up on AFM after the megapatch. Will it be possible to patch the table...
Well, it can't be easier than it sounds. :p
The megapatch is automatically downloaded at the launch of TPA. You start a table, and the game redirects you automatically to the PSN Store, and download the same updated table.
Now, we have just to hope that Sony (Europe in particular) doesn't mess...
The main problem with the HD video mode is that it pops up too often. So boring the 15th time in a row. :/ And yes, kill pedestrians (who walk on the highway?) is kind of... weird (moreover on a pinball table dedicated to bikers).
The video mode I like the most is on CFTBL. Great music, great...
From Sir FlippyFloppy, in the PS3 megapatch thread:
Crossed fingers.
TPA is far from its end, given all the stuff FS is working on (Pinball After Dark, new UI, new game modes,...)
By the way, we're March 1st... In the next 14 days, maybe the megapatch wil become at last a reality.
Me too!
Pin*Bot was released one year before (1990) and this High Speed (1991) seems less good (Pin*Bot was great, I still own the original cartridge bought 24 years ago).
That was a great idea, only used in Rare's games. I don't know why.
All the others pinball games were pretty...

I'm 32 and I play videogames since my 7th birthday (on an amstrad CPC) and I think my interest for videogames has definitely felt during this gen. The last game I bought day one was Red Dead Redemption. And the last game I've bought was the GOTY edition of Skyrim (nothing else between these two...
Yeah, thanks Netizen, it helps me a lot!
One more question.
Is a "manufacturer" challenge "linked" with a particular season (for example, all williams tables of the first season) or is it use all tables across the seasons (i.e. all williams tables of season 1, 2...and more)?
Thank you!
Hello,
Can someone post some screenshots of the Challenge Mode Menu? Is there dedicated leaderboards or some screens to follow what a player has achieved (Challenge XXX completed or that kind of stuff)?
I'm working on a score card for TPA and I want to know if the challenge mode stats are...
In this video > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsJ_YAd_N4w&t=4m45s , the guy plays on the real table like we play on the TPA version. He's freaking good (the left ramp doesn't seem to be a problem for him :p).
Early March is expected, according to FlippyFloppy. As Fish Tales and Black Rose are planned to mid-march too, we can hope the Megapatch to be approved and released by Sony before these two new tables.
