I'm Ok with the announcements (especially new interface and online multiplayer).
Now, FS, announce a separate Hardcore Leaderboard (no extra ball at all, only three balls... and the player's ones!), and you will make my day.
It's because of the extra ball glitch. The table instructions say that only one extra-ball can be awarded by ball in play. And yes, it works since the first ball (in that case, the number of remaining balls disappears!).
But it seems we don't have the same idea about a good starting game! ^^...
That was my previous strategy (1 month ago): 5-ball setting, play "wildly", focus on the extra ball glitch, and... rely on luck.
Bad move. Not very effective. Of course, there was some good games, around 2M, but a lot of very crappy games (under 500K) too.
3-ball setting is finally the way to...
It doesn't happen on PS3 (trapped, the ball has not enough velocity to reach the scoring hole). But I will retry to check.
Sorry for the post presentation, I thought it would be better with pictures and text side-to-side (I used HTML table, without borders, that's why the text is not formatted...
Strategy guide to reach "easily" 3M points
Hello Pinball Fans!
Since last week, I worked to get this famous wizard goal, because I wanted it to be done before the release of the PS3 megapatch (previously before Christmas, now delayed to January...)
Whatever, playing "wildly" (I thought that...
Oops, my mistake, I meant "spinner, bumper, multiplier (star) target".
Spinner = raise the bonus value (if lit, one turn gives 1000pts)
Bumper right behind = lit Star targets (one hit= lit, one other hit= unlit)
Star target = multiply the bonus value (x2 to x5).
It's the basic scheme to score...
According to smbhax on the PS4 topic, TPA PS4 is free of any lag (but sound quality is still crappy).
Crossed fingers with this upcoming megapatch for the PS3 version...
By the way Brakel, has Farsight ever considered to use uncompressed sound files for the console versions?
Sad to see (hear :p) that the sound is so much better in PHoF than in TPA.
As it was said above, maybe there will be some submenus, with additionnal pictures and infos.
But on these three screenshots, I only see BIG icons (the play button, could it be even more bigger?), no pictures, no text. It's very basic, 90's DVD menu style. :p
It surely looks good on a mobile...
I'm OK with tiles (the most convenient way to display a big number of tables), but this new UI looks like a basic DVD menu: it's good for a mobile touchscreen, but it's poor (even ugly) for a console (no table pictures, no frames, ugly background).
In this way, Zen Pinball's UI looks far...
Unfortunately, you're right.
The megapatch will be released in January... maybe.

No Xmas gift for PS3/Vita owners. :(
For sure, the new UI looks overall better than the current one... but it's still so "mobile-cheap-style". :( (It makes sense though) But for consoles, it will always be awkward.
And adios the full table and backglass pictures. :/ (Why not a frame on the right which displays the table/backglass...
Roaming on the PSN store, I finally saw that Pinballistik was now free-to-play (one full table and 2 table trials). 4 months later.
The classic table hasn't a huge amount of interest, but the battle mode is kind of fun.
The leaderboards are just perfect: for each highscore, there is...
