    Table pack #43 speculation

Atlantis is gorgeous. The other two look good to me too.

    Table pack #43 speculation

Not every table has equal historical value. ;) I would like to see about one EM every 20 TPA tables, if it were a well-chosen EM (like Fireball). F-14 will be the 63rd (I think?) table in TPA. What would be the ideal number of EMs, of that 63, if you could choose which EMs they were? Or if...

Top 5-10 Pinballs every made - Pro talk

Awesome stuff, v.e.! As always, you've got a genius for putting complex things into succinct statements. I think the layout is better than fine... all three ramps feel substantially different than other machines' ramps, and the center shot has a non-standard feel, too. I'm sure this is...

Playfield art for the hobbit released

Dear Lord that is ugly. Except for the ramps. I think a Stern artist did that in their time off.

Request Stern/Data East Rocky and Bullwinkle

Well, people keep telling me that I'm probably no fun at parties. But it doesn't make any sense for them to say that, because I never get invited to parties. :(

Request Stern/Data East Rocky and Bullwinkle

However: I can't find mention of a license anywhere on IPDB, or in the pics or flyer, or the word "Porsche". It's kind of strange.

Request Stern/Data East Rocky and Bullwinkle

I learned here that Checkpoint would probably require an expensive license. The playfield & backglass have pics of Porsches, and the playfield has a little Porsche car with Porsche logo, and "Carrera" is written several places. See: http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=498

    The Music Video Thread

Don Johnson - "Heartbeat" (Sept. 1986, #5) That song is one of the worst songs of the 1980's. Hey, speaking of TV stars making top ten songs, here's the lovely Don Johnson's turn at hard rock. It hit #5 in fall 1986. I thought it was pretty great at the time. Allmusic says its album "isn't...

    Table pack #43 speculation

I'm with shuttie on all counts. I wouldn't mind seeing the last ones - Waterworld, Mario Andretti, and Barb Wire - only because I've played them only a couple of times. But I'd hate to see any money spent on their licenses when so many similarly-licensed WMS tables are still out there. I'd...

A bunch of those games are Spike and not SAM. Did you mean to make it multiple-vote?

Well... not really. You didn't mention Capcom. Or Jersey Jack, Dutch, or Spooky. Now you've said enough.

    Request Swords of Fury

I remember that being nearly identical to the one on HS2, if I remember it correctly. I don't remember the rest of the playfield being much like HS or HS2 at all.

    Judge Dredd

I played JD a ton back around 1995 or so. I think it's a classic, somewhere on tier 3, maybe not up to the level of what I call tier 2 which has Shadow, RS, DM, WCS, Corvette, etc. It's an absolute must. I didn't play JMn much (glove always broken) but it's a must too.
