Swords of Fury is extremely highly rated, at #61 IPDB and #104 Pinside. That's higher than such classics as Firepower, Black Knight, and F-14 Tomcat (maybe S. Ritchie tables are underrated? :)).
I'll add that the possibility of being able to play new Sterns on computer the same time they are released as real machines is extremely exciting to me, especially if they are done by Farsight and have the usual TPA quality. I would pay a premium for such tables, maybe $10-20? This might be...
Hey LAW, I found some corrupt data. If you go to Mobile, Overall Standings, and scroll to ranks 301-325, then press right, the page stays the same. If you press right again, you get ranks 351-375. The problem appears to be: the line for rank 335 (with 77.9745 pts) is cut off. This is itself...
I forgot about the all-time rank. Based on their code, it should be pretty easy to fit this in if they want to.
On the other hand, fitting in previous tourneys wouldn't be easy. LAW addressed this in #77 above.
I actually prefer having this on the web. It would be much harder to copy the...
Hmm... comparing to mobile, I see 432 Steam players, and 1137 mobile players, so there are 38% as many Steam as mobile players. I can't find my last note on %age of platform players, but I think that 38% is about the ratio of PC+Mac to iOS+Android, or maybe a bit above the ratio.
Oh, here we...
This looks marvelous!
(I would love to be able to view tournaments other than the last one, but after viewing the source, that seems unlikely. That's OK.
I have some tiny minor requests:
- The tournament times use the user's current locale. They should probably print the user's time zone...
By my calculations, your scores would've gotten you #3, if Tarek wasn't playing in Gold. You would've had #1 HS2, and #2 Centaur and #2 Diner, which would be big helps.
Another definition issue... metric of what? I think they can potentially* be a good metric of ratio of sales of tables, if corrective measures for certain tables & seasons are taken. It does look like saying these numbers accurately reflect actual sales may take some serious arguing.
I'm not...
Perhaps, though that word "destroys", ouch. I don't think I believe that the fraction of scores that came from cracked games is all that high, it's gotta be at least under 10%. But I'm just speculating. You have a good point. Maybe someone daring can get hold of a cracked game and see if...
I'm wondering if there's something funny here, because these two are in the same table pack. It seems impossible that ~1/3 of the people buying it would never play FH even once. I know there are/were leaderboard problems with FH on PSN, maybe it's related... I know I'm stabbing in the dark...
Yes. v.e. doesn't have any score at all on those tables on his webpage. Surely he's played some he doesn't own as demos, too, which would rule out the possibility of getting on the leaderboard with them.
This would mean that the numbers really do represent (minima of) -sales-, modulo TotAN...
