Thanks for the suggestions guys! I am currently trying to find some Pinball T-shirts I like, no luck so far. I'd really like one with just the Williams logo on it, and a decent BK2K themed shirt. I saw a BK2K on cafepress, not sure if it's what I had in mind. I realize the keyfobs you can...
Speaking of interface improvements, I wonder if they'll ever consider supporting Hyperpin with the upcoming cabinet mode. Be a nice way to help legitimize Pincabs without compromising on the quality.
I'm not judging them at all, except to say when I see a Stern table, I'm not really all that drawn in by it's visual design. Just from an aesthetic point of view purely. I have never even seen one in the wild to play, or I would maybe give it a go. HD is just an example, I didn't know it...
I haven't really played a modern Stern, except for Ripley's (Like it) and Harley Davidson (Which is my least favorite "modern" table) in TPA. My general impression of Stern is this (except for Ripley's) is that they are all sorta generic feeling, it's a little bit like how I feel about Pinball...
All my friends and family rely on an Amazon wishlist to shop for me. Sure, it's not as spontaneous as you seem to be suggesting, but I would say the best option is to add Steam gift cards to your Amazon wishlist. You can buy them at Best Buy and everything now, I think even 7-11.
I actually wanted those, but now they're kinda expensive being a few years old. I wish Hallmark would do some new ones, I think a Donkey Kong would be a big hit.
I was asked to come up with some ideas for my girlfriend to get me for Xmas, so besides TPA, what would be some good things ask for? Actual tables are kinda outta the question for me :)
But I was thinking about some parts to build a desktop pinball controller. Maybe get that digital plunger...
I looked into them, and the idea is cool, but I think I would want to see one in person first. Aren't they just single game replacements for real cabs? I'm not sure if it would be a good buy for a pincab. Plus there's the authenticity thing, I might want orange just to have something with the...
I'm worried now that the season packs are available through the steam interface, the way it is, someone is gonna hit that "Add All DLC to Cart" button and spend twice as much money as they need to. If you buy the Pro packs, you wouldn't need the standard season packs. Just seems awkward.
Yep, it's allowed!
You know, I've been pricing real DMD's.. It would be cool to have one until I can build a whole cabinet. Farsight seems to be supporting it in the future, too, if that video of their cabinet is any indication! They are kinda pricey though, and I've noticed there are red...
From White Water? I'm still nowhere near to even seeing this, still trying to get good. Working on all the wizard goals right now, so I look forward to it!
I'm having the same issue I had with the last build. I can launch the configuration utility but then when I try to launch the game, it crashes before it does anything (splash screens, menus, nada). Same issue where checking the cache integrity says two files are a mismatch, I then let it fix...
I have never played or even seen Jackbot, but I love PB and BoP, so I'd hate for the trilogy to go unfinished in TPA. Also it will probably be the only way I ever get to play it!
I was thinking the achievement graphics and titles could use a little overhaul, they seem kinda plain and repetitive. Would be an easy fix to come up with some clever names, i.e TOTAN wizard goals could be "Master of the Lamp" or something while it would be totally different for other tables...
The PC release of TPA has gotten me participating more in the forum again, and so I was thinking I'm not sure I ever saw a thread on this.
Let's hear what you think are the best DMD animations (either overall, or individual sequences) from a pinball game, in TPA or otherwise.
Personally, off...
