...is Fri May 6 and Sat May 7.
I plan on being there on Friday.
If you're lucky, I'll take some pics and do a brief write-up. I've been known to "live blog" as well.
As usual my wife isn't allowing me to take my checkbook and her minivan, so I'll be just there to play :D
Well, who knows. FS have been known to reach out to the VP community for help. Maybe they've gone to that well again to help with a new physics engine.
From the description of the new engine, it seems they're dropping emulation and all that messy overhead for essentially scripting tables, but...
KISS probably won't require additional licensing, if there was a digital clause in Stern's agreement. If nothing else Gene Simmons is a very astute businessman, though, so maybe not on this one.
Did Star Trek come after Metallica? I think it did. Someone get the timeline of the Stern tables...
I've not watched the video, but if you scroll down to read the blurb, it explains that they need the money for the usual licensing costs - in this case the songs, voiceovers, and likenesses. Songs are very expensive, and AC/DC are known for being very protective of their catalog. (But - if...
There's been a lot of talk about Stern baking possible digital versions of games into their licensing agreements. So it would seem that this goes back to at least Star Trek, but not before.
But yikes, another KS so soon :( I just dropped $85 on Dr Who, not sure I can really go for this one, at...
The Governator has not been too picky since he left politics, though. Shilling for Mobile Strike, making 3 Expendables movies, and so on. I guess the divorce cleaned him out pretty good, eh?
Since this was the last valid post, going by the rules (whaddaya mean, where are the rules? go find the Song Title thread, this is the same, but with pinball features)....
Jack*Bot to WHO Dunnit? - Slot Machine
Yeah but some "big names" can in fact be very reasonable when it comes to small requests. Arnie probably gets far more requests for his image/voice/whatever than Christopher Lloyd. So to Arnie it's small change, he doesn't need to charge that big of a fee. For the B/C-Listers and below, there...
I've not played either enough to form real opinions on rules depth. Both have nice flow, but you'd expect that from Steve Ritchie tables.
As far as art packages go, they're not the worst Stern has produced. Not as pretty as Metallica or the new KISS or Spider-Man Vault though.
Interesting. And possibly meaningless in the grand scheme of things. I've played Star Trek and AC/DC, maybe there will be a Ghostbusters or two in Allentown.
