Hi guys,
I’m back with my second (significantly longer I might add) side-by-side comparison of a real table and it’s TPA counterpart (the first being CFTBL). I chose STTNG as I played it frequently in the last month on TPA. I’m currently at 16B (courtesy of Roy Wils’ pro tip to only hit for...
Are we in the know about their financial situation? If we have to guess about that, there are a lot of variables to take into account which doesn't make for an easy estimate. Releasing across multiple platforms could very well be costly, but it also attracts more (paying) customers. Their price...
I reached High Noon yesterday: if you finish it, it gives you 20 million when the mode times out. On top of that you get points for jackpots and bad guys killed. I don't know if I had a good one actually, it didn't feel like it but I got an additional 6M on top of my 20. This table doesn't give...
I like to think Farsight has a high opinion of me as a player..... :-) In the last 3 table packs, HOF points are hard to come by. Central Park seems a bit easier (up into the 250 point range now, with a couple of games played), but Dr. Dude, Cactus Canyon and Genie are quite hard. I played a...
I like the fact it has a completely unfamiliar layout that at first seems really daunting: those middle drain lanes seem like monsters. And while they still are a bit monstrous, it's not as bad as my imagination after a couple of games. One thing I now really miss on the iPad is the forward...
I agree with the comments about small physics variations between real life tables. It would be fun (and more accurate for the comparison) to be able to play multiple machines. For now I'm happy to get to play real tables at all though... :-)

Pretty please? I find myself not playing out of fear I will actually better my highest scores, that's not how it's meant to be, right? Farsight could do better in the area of communication with the community. Don't take this the wrong way, I don't mean it like we are fundamentally entitled to...
Thanks! I can for example do TZ and STTNG next, both are in the line-up and in good working order, and I know both tables well from playing them in TPA. Could be some time because I have to wait a month before I can play again at the clubhouse,

Hi guys,
Don't know if it is of interest to anybody, but I like to do a side by side comparison with the real table I get to play once every month at the "clubhouse" of the DPA (Dutch Pinball Association). I'm currently at 7.6B on the TPA version, and I'm slowly getting better on the real...
+1 I love how the theme and atmosphere of the table connect. Especially the spacey sound when playing on the secondary playing field (which you actually wouldn't hear if you would actually be out there, but then, who cares really) When you get the hang of the secondary playing field and control...
Same here, TPA HOF board doesn't register my most current total, only the "friends" filter shows the score correctly. Hope they solve this soon. Gamecenter does work though, so I'll camp out there for a while

Ps I would think that when the servers are up again, they will pick up our new...
I just posted my introduction at the top of these threads. I was probably around 6 or 7 when I picked up my pinball virus, standing behind a table in the late '70s in a shopping cart to reach the buttons. According to my dad, I was completely entranced by the sounds and lights. Then I forgot...
Hi everyone,
I was already up to 25 posts when I scrolled down by accident to this thread, guess it's time to say hi! I'm actually a bit of a VPforums refugee, shamefully addicted to TPA now. In a way it mirrors how the iPad has burrowed it's way into my digital life at the cost of PC time...
Device: iPad 2
Bugs: CV - Neon Multiball freezes the camera at the plunger without flipper control
AFM - same problem with ball returning from right loop mentioned above. Crash to start screen when combining Total Annihilation and Super Jets (seems to happen every time I hit both)
Monster...
Same here, iPad 2 with OS 6.1. It seems to happen when the ball has a steep downward angle when going through the hole of the whirlpool. I haven't had it happen during normal play (outside of multiball/whirlpool shots).
Nice addition samtny! I have hit the right ramp by accident a couple of times during multiball and saw some other DMD animations than I'm used to in regular play, so I kinda wondered what that was. I did know about "super mode" that you can get to with about 12 right ramp shots, that can give...
Watch " indie game: the movie" and you will appreciate Super Meat Boy even more, I did! The creators put a lot of thought into the game and it's really nice to see them get succesful in the end. Shows how much work goes into a game, especially when only 2 guys make it
