I'm from Holland and incredibly lucky to live at a 45 min drive from the clubhouse from the Dutch Pinball Association. When you are a member, you can play every last friday of the month, and sometimes a saturday in between. There they have about 90 machines of which a good portion are in good...
+1! Too funny, I had this happen exactly last night when I was playing Genie besides my girlfriend on the couch, she accused me of messing up her House episode...She also is not too fond of me nudging too hard when lying in bed next to her (yes I'm addicted, and no I mean nudging while playing...
I'm amazed how Farsight turned me on to EM/early SS tables now. I used to prefer only DMD-style games from the '90's and early 00's (that's my nostalgia period) but aiming for the HOF score made me play the "other" tables too! And I love playing them to my surprise. Guess it awoke my inner...
Thanks for the advice, good points! I would add that while Martian Multiball is indeed not a highscoring multiball in itself, it's really nice to stack it with TA and regular Multiball. For the video game mode I tend to strafe back and forth all the way in a calm rhytm to reach the most lateral...
I guess this happened to me also, I triggered TA (also second time but that may be irrelevant if I read the other posts correctly) and the game kicked me right out. I didn't notice if it collided with Super Jets activated. iPad 2 iOS 6. This is indeed a serious, gamebreaking/recordbreaking bug...
Followup: I forced LITZ by using ball control. There was no ball stuck behind the right upper flipper. I did change view once from portrait to landscape and back and play resumed as normal. Now I don't know which of the three things fixed it (ball control, no ball stuck or view change) but I'm...
iPad2: Have the same problem after LITZ, but my flippers are stuck in the "frozen" position, and stay that way. I can plunge balls, but they just drain. Is there any way around this? does changing portrait to landscape work on this bug? I tried the call attendant, no effect. This is major bug! I...
Nice overview, I also picked up some new things. My best score is 1.6B on my iPad, I usually score around 600-700M on a good round of MB. My bane is the Bride ramps, especially draining from the left flipper to right ramp. Even with Frank's multiball going on, it's still a chore to finish. The...
Well LOTR would be very high on my wish-list, it's my favorite VPinmame table. I haven't encountered a well maintained live one yet though. I'm curious how LOTR ranks with regard to license cost, complexity to emulate etc. Wouldn't this be a "kickstarter-worthy" table? It doesn't have really...
I would like to offer a different point of view concerning access to the operator's menu. While I would like some more control over the table settings, it makes controlled competition potentially very difficult. At the vpforums.org community we have a high score thread in which scores are posted...
I play mostly portrait but have tried out landscape partly because of this thread. I too think that the table is a bit slower but that may be attributed to the cropping, then the ball seems to slow because it actually has to travel the same distance but the view is "shorter". I do tilt more...
Thanks for the info, sounds a little aggravating....
Now I'll wait for the bugfix that wil recognize my special that I keep scoring, then I'll have completed all wizard goals.
Slam23
Wow, that would have been a true wizard's goal if you had to do it in one ball! :-) congrats on reaching the Lament. Unfortunately I lost the game quite soon after reaching it, supposedly there is commentary by Lyman himself on how you play or the shots that you make?
Slam23
This reminds me of a character called shockman or shocky down at the vp forums, totally original guy but could get into personal shouting fights I haven't seen the like of since....got banned offcourse, but lead to some nice discussions about how tolerant people are towards each other on...
Have you posted these at the main iOS bug thread? That one gets FArsight people to react. I posted some of your observations myself there,
Greetings, Slam23
I'm wondering how people are faring with nudging the ball out of the drain areas slightly above the outlanes? I find it quite difficult to time but had some small success with it. I also agree with the main points from Dave and would add that the kick-out from the scoop shot can be safely...
I can't get the special to register for the wizard goal too, this has been posted in the main bug thread. Got Lament to register for me today, the first time I got it,
Slam23
Did it today. Best trick is to learn how to consistently hit the scoop shot from the right flipper. When the ball is kicked out, just keep both flippers up and the ball will roll over from the left to the right flipper. Rinse and repeat (a lot! :-)). Even when you don't hit the scoop straight...
