- Is the Kinect camera built into the cabinet or will people have to supply their own?
The mounting will be inside the machine and people will need to supply their own (this feature only for the Arcooda Cabinet)
- If someone had their own homebrew cabinet and...
Plus there's a BBB at the Banning Museum of Pinball, so FarSight wouldn't have to worry about trying to buy one of these exceedingly rare machines. They also have Breakshot, Pinball Magic, and (name escapes me) the jet fighter one. And didn't I read that Kingpin was getting ready for a release...
Had none of this WMS mess gone down, the Arcooda cabinet would have been your only way to play this official cab view, period. Arcooda wanted this license to sell their cabinet, but in a rather savvy move has opened up a version to all cab owners. They still have proprietary features to their...
They haven’t come out with the new cab yet, but it’s gonna probably be the same cost as most other high end models of other companies. So figure between 7 and 9 grand.
I don’t think FarSight knew there’d be a season 2! We need a time machine that sends FarSight_Matt back to the beginning and he designs a long term plan for the game while instituting his levels of quality.
I’ve bought Fifth Element on Laserdisc, DVD, and Blu Ray. Same for first 3 Alien movies (and those Laserdisc boxes were $110 a pop). Star Wars I have VHS, non special edition trilogy box and SE Laserdisc, and DVD. I have regular and Extended versions of LotR in DVD and would have the blu rat if...
Didn’t they say the 18th? I really don’t know other than they were getting the purchasing locked down before letting people do it. Seems to be Arcooda’s MO, don’t overpromise, deliver on what you say you can. Shouldn’t be long.
Guitar Hero had 2 releases before Rock Band came out, and for a while there both were so popular they even shared certain songs. Point being, people will pay twice for the same thing even when it’s not wildly different.
I jokingly asked my Arcooda contact if I was on the payroll yet as I figure I've made some sales for them with all this.
*crickets*
Still, I wanted to make sure you cabinet owners had every last bit of info since you've waited so damn long for anything like a proper cabinet mode. I truly hope...
It's only if you are playing in portrait mode using the Arcooda version of things. If you play regular TPA (landscape) it won't be any different from what has been out all along.
Can't fault that thinking! I do recommend (S4) Safe Cracker just because you next to never see them in the wild and it's a Pat Lawlor design, and from S5 Fireball (fantastic EM) and possibly F-14 because it is a Steve Ritchie classic. Strange that I don't then recommend BK2000, but I really...
I've been posting answers to questions on the main article comment thread http://digitalpinballfans.com/content.php/538-Cabinet-Mode-for-TPA-via-Arcooda-Software so be sure to check that out.
The Arcooda software uses the Steam version for all intents and purposes. The cabinet visuals though...
Well it's $149 to get the cab version on your custom build. The $499 Arcooda version only works in the Arcooda cabinet, and since you already own all the tables there's no need to purchase the $499 standalone version, unless you wanted the offline play ability. If you haven't already, go to...
Okay, I got some more answers to the questions Nomorestalker posted.
1. Will Arcooda/Farsight be updating new tables in the future? Will we be able to buy in if new tables are supported beyond the initial 76? Or will they be covered by the licence? (Provided we own the table on steam)
We...
