Well, after doing some CPU optimization, I actually got the thing running for a game. And yeah, it was showing 95-99% CPU usage. Stopped GB and it dropped to 8%. That's plain nuts.
I'm also wondering how much of it is a Windows 10 issue. Currently going through a whole CPU optimization check list I found online. CPU issue does highlight why the DX9 version is also wonking out on me, as I couldn't believe it was a graphics issue.
It completely crashes the game and quite often my computer. I'm talking about as soon as I try opening the table, not even getting a chance to push 'start'. In beta I had one time when it actually let me play it. Same thing happens in DX9. I'll have to look up how to check my CPU to see what...
I think with EMs it's the only time I'd be happy with a Gottlieb. I've played Spanish Eyes a few times, and while it certainly is different with that pop bumper at the drain, I'm pretty meh on it. Never played Wild Card, certainly has a wide open middle! Where's the drop targets in this pack?
The thing I love about games like The Last of Us, Uncharted, and the last 2 Tomb Raider games is their replayability. Because the stories are so well written and woven into the actual game play, it's like watching your favorite action movie again and again. There are moments in these games I...
Can I ask what the i3w6 means?
Sound on Fear Itself is awesome. Knowing your play style and matching that to bonus add ons is gonna be key I think. I have one I know for sure that works in my favor, and I'm still trial and error for the 2nd.
Here's your top 5 from the 1 ball Empire tournament:
1) MINDOU22 107.7m
2) MLK_EL74 67.5m
3) DA5ID5 59.7m
4) JOHNI 3W6 33.8m
5) XAF//SMERRELL 19.9m
New tourney for the week has just been posted. It's Fear Itself (probably my favorite of the Marvel tables) and is normal...
Current table is Empire Strikes Back. An Xbox One user was able to play last time, so I know that works. I looked up the tourney on my PS4 last week, but it crashed each time, since its same user name and probably got confused!
Hey all!
I've been really enjoying what Zen has done with Pinball FX3. They said their goal was for a true communal pinball experience, and so far they've really hit that mark. Once they implement true head to head, it'll be everything I'd hope for. In the meantime though, their tournament...
Thanks for the knee support, guys. I'm doing these passive bending exercises daily (no flexing of muscle), that essentially is to break up the internal scar tissue. I'm also able to now lift my leg using quad muscles so long as I have my brace on. Speaking of, should be free from it in 3 weeks...
I believe Paragon is one of those machines they "borrowed" from the pinball museum in Banning. Might have suffered in translation if they were not allowed to do a full tear down.
First 2 seasons, they used a different camera for photographing than all other seasons. They've since improved conditions the take the photos in as well as higher resolution. Keep in mind though, often these photos were used entirely only for reference, as playfield art might be completely worn...
They just redid BoP so that the lighting isn't burned in, making the DX11 version look way better. That being said, I don't know if they bothered re photographing the table or worked with original assets. I certainly hope if they visit MB that they'll at least run the toys through their 3D...
I've asked this too. The short answer? Nope. They are still playing around with ball spin and other physics tweaks, but can actually implement that game engine whenever they like. They've actually changed engines a few times during TPA. What you are more likely talking about is a complete...
$10 is only for GB, not other regular release tables on TPA. They toyed with doing this for tables that wound up being Kickstarters, but feared people would rebel. Don't know what to tell you about console consistency other than they're pretty much only doing 2 release updates a year at this point.
The word I have gotten from people at FarSight, and I started getting this answer at least 2 years back, was as long as tables are selling, FarSight will keep making 'em. Seasons may eventually come to an end, but releases would still happen.
And DarkAkatosh is not wrong about FarSight's past...
I dropped $2 for 3 plays recently on both Star Wars and Dialed In. Barely got anything going on SW before games were done, had good success on DI. Even still, was probably 30 minutes at best of total play time. When Ghostbusters drops on Steam, I'll easily put in an hour my first session. Now...
