Why doesn't storing tables on the SD card save space?

It depends on the device that Richard B has, and what kernel he's using. The kernel has to support app2sd (needs init.d from memory so the app2sd service is started during the boot process). I used app2sd on my TF300T (the Asus Transformer had terrible I/O write speeds on their bottlenecked...

Zaccaria Pinball - new physics engine

And I probably contributed to that as well in my previous post. The first thing I wanted to do when I got up this morning (it's 5.30am here in Brisbane) is apologize for the dig (publicly). I really wasn't aware of the length of time the iOS users have had to wait for physics tweaks. I'm...

Zaccaria Pinball - new physics engine

How about you just wait and be patient instead of making requests in the form of thinly veiled demands. It will be out when its out.

Zaccharia for Android: Initial Release Discussion

Hey there Zsolt It sounds like you've tested on a fair variety of processor architectures. Great work! So how it going with Android? I hear the great news that you have improved the physics engine for the game! Man, I'm looking forward to throwing a large amount of cash at my screen. The...

Zaccaria Pinball - new physics engine

Will this make it into the Android port, or will you be porting the engine after it is "proven" on iOS?

Oh man, I love this table but...

Correct Answer to all questions about race, accents, and any other political correctness issues one may have with this table relic of the 80's. It is a snapshot in time of the zeitgeist. Pinball developers were affected by it, and they translated it into a theme for a pinball. The fact that...

New Mobile Tournament for iOS & Android starting 8/15/2014

I reckon they should have a theme for each tourney (I'm getting flashbacks from last month's tourney thread). An Old School tourney with only EMs and early SS machines for example. Low scoring but satisfying. Or maybe a pinball era tourney.

Thanks for the first 50 tables Farsight

Nope, they won't make the same mistake again regarding selling the tables. They have tables in offices and anywhere they can fit them. 50 tables. In Australia, that'd be called a museum. I was just playing Whirlwind, and noticed just how good the baked in lighting looks on that table on...

Zaccharia for Android: Initial Release Discussion

It's good to hear from a long term customer. I'll still be supporting A.S.K.

    Android Version 1.28 bugs

I would love to see original photos of the table, and the retouched version. Good content for Facebook perhaps? I think it would make people appreciate what you have to do to get these tables up to a presentable standard.

Where have we seen this before? 😉

    Android Version 1.28 bugs

To me, the table FarSight digitized just looks like a table with some wear around the inserts. Flippy, can you take a look at your table and see if the insert has evidence of damage compared to the reference shot TomL shared.

Why doesn't storing tables on the SD card save space?

Unless you have app2sd active on your device (requires root), you are not going to have consistent results when trying to move some apps to the SD card. And some apps will simply not work correctly when the app believes it is not on the SSD in the device. app2sd removes this issue and symlinks...

    Disappointed in texture quality

Yep, this is the issue. This type of problem is also referred to commonly (at least in the industry I work in) as "Fixing the aircraft while flying". The only way they could address these issues is stop at Season 3 for TPA Gen 1. Then take an arbitrary amount of time off from releasing to...

    Disappointed in texture quality

Yep, you need a big, fat 5MB/s tunnel to be able to pull that off. And NVidia admit that even then it wouldn't be suitable for "hardcore competition play" where milliseconds win the game. The tablet still has to render the stream at it's end though. So while it is about bandwidth/latency, you...

    Disappointed in texture quality

This post deals with my experience on the Android platform since TPA was released. There is some speculation, indicated with parenthesis in-line. I'll throw this into the pot now, having just pulled the trigger on a purchase from Amazon US. I'll be getting an NVidia Shield Tablet. Google...
