btw my notes are from personal experience of trying to set up my daughter's Steam account and have her access to all of my tables. It didn't work, I asked around in this forum back when I was trying, and got the "it can't be done" response.
Your FS login only affects Kickstarter reward and...
Okay, so what are the best scoring strategies for each table?
Haunted House: keep the ball alive along as you can; get it to the top playfield as often as possible and make sure the ball goes down to the bottom playfield.
Victory: keep making those checkpoints. Going for F-I-N-I-S-H targets...
Family sharing still uses different Steam accounts to actually play the games. Therefore, any DLC that is tied to a Steam account won't work even if the base game will. Pretty sure this isn't restricted to TPA.
On the other hand, setting up Family Mode allows different people to share the...
This button fixes the HOF rollover bug. So for tables where you can't get 1000 HOF points directly after playing a game, it will re-calculated based on the scores posted to the leaderboard, and will correctly assign HOF points.
The only danger is if you have higher scores locally than on the...
Well there's an obvious cheater who just hacked the current mobile tournament.
And our friendly neighborhood Montana Frank impersonator is clearly infesting the PC tournament (it has somehow scored 24M on Haunted House, which is impossible in a 20-minute time limit).
I'm new to the TPA tournament format since PC tournaments have only just started. However I'm familiar with the arguments from following the mobile tournament threads.
I agree there should be some kind of limiting factors; limited credits and/or "only your last score counts" being the obvious...
I didn't play it for ages after I got the 250k the first time.
I picked it up again later and boosted by best score into the 300k+ range.
I guess I like it better on tablet for the same reason I like Zacc - games are quicker, and I tend to play games on my tablet when I'm watching TV. Great...
..and now, with the PC tournament having launched, nobody's playing Big Shot this week.
I like playing this on my tablet. Same as all the older tables (El Dorado works far better on a tablet than on PC, for instance).
It would be great if we could check up on tournament status from the website, without having to go into the game.
I mean there's nothing like checking the tournament during working hours to see who's beating your scores and working out which games you need to play later....
Basically it's play each table as many times as you want and it'll take your best score, whether it's from your first game or your tenth or your fiftieth. Each new game has a 20 minute limit. Not clear what happened on HH for you, I've had the timer reset to 20 minutes every time I press...
It was working smoothly last night. Not sure how my ~2B on TZ will hold up. Got a 500M LITZ and about 100M from Gumball locks and bonus to finish up in the last 30 seconds of that game. Everything else needs work. There's time though.
The 20-minute limit makes for some interesting and...
A while back there was a poll whose results Farsight took into account, asking for tables to have new Tournament Mode/"Hard" difficulty settings created. It's been indicated that it's quite a bit of work to set up new settings on a table-by-table basis, and that the new settings/code bumps up...
Well while EBs are technically infinite since you can repeat the wheel and blasts, they're not easy to set up. Since you need an EB to collect your bonus every time... how often are you going to drain on purpose?
Really we should be aiming to complete the wheel on every ball, forget about...
- Big Millions (hitting Red) caps at 25M and while a bit risky is worth decent points since you'll be shooting Bob's a lot.
- Million Plus likewise is good to get lit because you'll be shooting the right ramp a lot. Not sure where that caps at.
I scored 22B last night (and lost 1.5B in bonus...
I doubt we will ever see WOZ or any other Jersey Jack since they have custom linux boxes under the hood. I bet Stern's new Spike system would be tricky since it's modular.
PC players finally have a tournament! And the table selection is... Gottlieb/Premier-heavy, to say the least:
- Space Shuttle
- Tee'd Off
- Class Of 1812
- Haunted House
- Victory
- Twilight Zone
- Ripley's Believe It Or Not
- Cactus Canyon
