New table is next week (betas are already out on some platforms, the lead time is always a week for non-TAF tables). I can see a public beta launch then and a full release with the subsequent table. That's a far more realistic timetable.
Meanwhile, over in another thread, things are slowly degenerating.

Lack of foresight on the part of the manufacturer or operator. Drinks holder and ashtray should be built in to the table, or there should be a separate table to put refreshments on next to the pinball.
Or maybe it's a way of making the game more difficult. Extra points if you don't spill any...
You only get that if you click "Play" from within Steam (or select the game from the Steam systray icon?)
If you use a desktop shortcut, you won't get the menu, since that points directly to the .exe.
So for anyone who wants to default to DX11, I assume they're going to need to create a new...
The option has to be there for the beta testers. It's a Steam idiosyncracy. You can't make options like that invisible to some users and visible to others.
"It looks ready" and "it's just a bunch of screen shots our artist put together in Photoshop" are very different things.
What you see there is much closer to the latter than to the former.
I never read the instructions; when the table came out in December the instructions guy was out sick so they were missing for a month. By then I'd moved on.
That's because it just had an overhaul. The leaderboards are new, sparkly, shiny, and actually more than a decent effort at making them good. (Still has the same old suspect scores, but there has been an attempt to filter out some of them; it's a manual effort though so it's not perfect and...
Yes, the drop target bank advances the jackpot value.
Theoretically you can go infinite but jackpot farming for the 1.5M+EB is a frustrating endeavor.
Just keep shooting that center ramp until you go to sleep.
Well yeah. Lots of stuff like that. And not just monochrome either - the trooper with leg stumps bleeding out between the flippers being the prime example, but also the squad leader/sarge getting his brains squished by a bug if you hurry up the "Next Planet" announcement, the animation when...
I'm willing to bet with them having to beta test 50+ tables individually for DX11, they're beginning to see the shortcomings of the current system in a way that perhaps before they didn't.
Er, no. Just because it has giant talking heads doesn't make it a sequel.
Fun House = creepy/rude funfair dummy. Clocks, steps, mirrors, hot dogs, trap doors.
R&T = lazy construction worker+crazy construction worker. Cross-country road trip, bulldozers, dynamite, souvenirs, country music...
Seriously, though, how much do you think FS regrets doing that 12 Days Of Christmas now (just look at last year's 12 Days for an idea...)? Wait, are those the faint sounds of DX11 I hear knocking on the crate begging to be let out of private beta...?
My understanding is that Centaur is emulated; could it be a ROM bug? If that's the case, FS can't fix it. Probably one of those that is very rare in real play and if it does happen, the attendant is able to fix it, probably.
