2.5B on NGG in around 2 hours? Just finished.
I can't remember how long my ~2B on Party Zone was, maybe an hour, 90 minutes? Scoring plateaus on TPZ once you max the ramp and WOC scores, depending on how you choose to score it can be nothing but boring grinds of the ramp for 2M a go (plus...
I play straight jacket because it feeds the jets (bonus multiplier!). Spirit Cards, Safe Escape if locks are lit. Metamorphosis as it's relatively safe. Otherwise time them out or go for Spirit Rings. 60M from Spirit Rings is safer and about what you'd score from playing the illusion anyway...
Quite simply, after beating RTU, each major shot scores 100M+ in addition to whatever it would normally score. This remains active even during multiballs. Hitting the saucer increases the value by 10M. I think it maxes out at 500M, I've had it over 400M. The trick is to not drain. Hammering on...
Usually it just happens. It can be quite tricky to consciously go for, since the orbits are vacuum cleaners and kill the combo when they've not been completed. I try not to think about it.
If you've got nudging down, going for saucers in single-ball play is a lot safer than you think. Nudge early, just after hitting the target, that gets the ball out of STDM territory pretty consistently.
Killing saucers and conquering Mars is a one-time thing: might as well get it done early...
Things got moving slowly, Cyclone got released, there was a Tournament Of The Month (thanks shutyertrap !)
Anyway, onward and upwards, towards the far end of the alphabet. Our next stop: Bally's 1995 classic, Attack From Mars.
From now on I'm going to have a mini-questionnaire about each...
There's a bit of discussion on this over in the Top 40 Players thread. Including comments from the FS web dev doing the work.
There's definitely security stuff going in. Not sure what else.
Sure Farsight have all the licenses they need from the pinball companies. It's 3rd party licenses such as actors, movie studios, and in Rollercoaster's case, game publishers like EA.
Farsight have more chance of being bought by EA than they have of getting their slice of any of EA's digital...
Windows Server 2003 is end - of - life in July 2015. This is the server equivalent of XP. I think it would be fair to fully drop XP support then. 3-4 months' notice is reasonable.
Same for Android, same for iOS, same for any platform or OS. Some people will cry foul and so on but the...
To be fair, Scumble373 only joined Farsight in the middle of last year, as an Android programmer. He's done a lot of good work with the Android userbase in that time, including making what tweaks are within his power to graphical settings (ramp opacity on NGG and Cactus Canyon, for instance)...
