Guys, Gord is working on giving you access to the private beta forum here, so please wait to discuss there so you don’t violate your NDA. You should see it near the top of the forum once it’s ready, so please be patient for now until he gives you access (he’s waiting to hear back from Zen with a...
AFM is regarded as one of the best machines of all time, so they must’ve done something right with the design, but yes, the middle shots are notoriously dangerous. 9 out of 10 STDM is an exaggeration, but the laws of physics tell us that the ball is going to ricochet somewhere in that vicinity...
Yeah, 1080p would be no problem with a GTX 1060. I have a GTX 960 in my arcade rig running FX3 maxed, 60 fps at 1080p. Any higher res and I start getting fps drops. 4K is playable if I turn off AA, but it’s not a consistent 60 fps.
The video card is the most important spec and you don’t need a whole lot if you just want to get by. TPA can run on just about anything, while FX3 requires a bit more horsepower, but any fairly modern gaming PC can do the job. I’m running FX3 on two PCs: my older has an nvidia GTX 960 which was...
They really improved the physics on AFM quite a bit in the beta. It was initially really hard to hit the center shots, but they nailed it after the first build and now you can rifle away...at your own risk of course! Now it feels as it should and your heart always skips a beat when you dare to...
The real thing can be very brutal. Last time I played the AFM at my local arcade a few weeks ago, I pumped more than a couple bucks into it within a very short span. Needless to say, it kicked my ass!
Agreed. This is the reason I could never could get into Zen pinball before, but now I’m blown away with what they’ve done with the license and the new physics so far. If they add arcade mode to their other tables then that will be icing on the cake.
Thank you! Good eye man, you really know your Les Pauls. My wife bought me this one when my old one accidentally tipped over off the stand and of course the headstock instantly snapped. It’s a 2014 so it even has the Gforce tuner which I actually really like, especially since you can jump from...
I highly recommend you give the latest Blahcade podcast a listen as the boys dive deep into this topic:

You’re welcome. From what I’ve read, the dpad is similar to what’s on the Hori Fighting Commander, which is good news because I love that dpad.
I may pick one of these up eventually if I do end up playing in docked mode more:

No dpad is a real bummer. Think this would do the trick?

I’m mainly getting it for handheld mode because I need some new mobile games (Zelda probably to start with, maybe something like Octopath or VC4). If I...
