Who here plays MAME and other Emus?

Ahh, I had thought Zero 2 Alpha was just the Japanese version of Alpha 2. Didn’t realize there were other differences. Cool. I’ll play around with it when I get home.

    Arcade 1Up Mini Arcades

That does look really cool. I’ve always preferred the bartop setups as well for comfort. This would be a good place to start if anyone wanted to build their own for quite a bit cheaper: https://www.recroommasters.com/19-Xtension-Alpha-Cade-for-Raspberry-Pi-and-PC-p/rm-xt-alpha-bartop-e.htm

Who here plays MAME and other Emus?

Good stuff. I’ll check out the Japanese versions when I get home. I don’t think I have tried Garou yet, but looks really cool. Could be, but was that version released in the arcades? Won’t be home till tomorrow, but pretty sure the ROM I’ve been using is sfa2.zip, so I think it’s just the...

What Zen Original tables play the most like real pinball?

There used to be a list on their forum years ago, but I couldn’t seem to find it last time I looked.

I remember thinking that was so badass as a kid. I even had the soundtrack with angus on the cover.

What Zen Original tables play the most like real pinball?

That’s right! Thanks for that. It’s been so long since I’ve played it. I do recall the annoying sounds as well now that you mention it.

Zen Pinball FX3 Williams Pinball Volume One

Do they really increase the flipper gap in tournaments? As a pinball machine owner, I’m not sure that’s even possible at least not on one as old as mine (1980).

Who here plays MAME and other Emus?

Exactly, which sounds a bit awful in theory. But the thing that makes it playable is they added an optional SP button that, combined with a directional input, will do a special move on demand. Definitely takes the frustration out of it, and while it’s certianly no substitute for a proper...

Who here plays MAME and other Emus?

I’m on the road for a few days so I bought KoF 98 on my iPhone. The touch controls are surprisingly not as awful as I anticipated.

What Zen Original tables play the most like real pinball?

Anyone remember the Rocky & Bulwinkle table back on the 360? It was the first Zen table I bought and I can’t recall what real pin design it was reminiscent of (a lot of Zen’s early stuff heavily borrowed from real layouts), but I really enjoyed it at the time. It was much more simplistic than...

Things That Can Be Misinterpreted in Pinball

Something dawned on my while playing The Getaway: Why is Hank Hill picking up a hooker? Can you think of any other examples of things that can be misinterpreted in pinball? Side Note: why didn’t they make the guy in The Getaway look younger and cooler? Kind of just reinforces the...
