I've been meaning to check out Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. Supposed to be somewhat similar to Sid Meier's Pirates (which is one of my favorite games of all time), but some say it's even better.
I'm a loser baaaaaby, so why don't ya kill me?
Been playing more SNES than anything lately.
Long live emulation, despite the warpath Nintendo has been on lately.
Also I think Zen is shooting for the feel of a brand new or extremely well-maintained pinball machine, which is quite a bit different than what they have at the pubs. They're always gonna play slower and less bouncy unless they have a dedicated guy keeping them waxed up, with new rubbers, and...
It's true. I often spend more time tinkering with this stuff than I do playing, but I guess that's half the fun of it for me, oddly enough.
I'll probably just stick with Attract Mode for now to save money.
It's kind of a headache getting all the art and stuff though. There's an auto scrape...
Cool video. I think there would be a good deal more bounce off the flippers and speed in general if the slope was correct. The latest beta feels better than the previous to me especially when you compare it to Bowen's tutorial video and how fast his setup plays, but there's always room for...
Hyperspin looks cool, but it’s not free right? How much does it cost to get it all set up with the videos and art?
I’m using Attract Mode for now since it’s free and pretty nice, but not quite as fancy haha.
Ha!
I noticed something cool while playing Final Fight in snes9X tonight: Setting "Ouput Image Processing" to 6xBRZ is pretty groovy. It almost feels like playing a "remastered" version as it gets rid of all the jaggies and pixelation and really looks smooth. Check it out if you've never tried it.
Well, good news: if I turn off AA completely, I can run @ 4K just fine! I guess I didn't think to try it before, so thanks for the tips guys.
Also, no jaggies at all running at 4K, whereas if I go back to 1080p with 8x AA, there are noticeable jaggies on the rails.
I get an fps dip when...
So I'm getting back into emulators after a few years hiatus now that I've dusted off my X-Arcade tankstick and just wondering who else is into them?
What front end do you guys use? I had MaLa set up years ago, but it was for a 4:3 monitor, so all my layouts look clunky on my TV.
Fiddling...
I actually just watched Aerosmith’s Behind the Music last night. Some pretty fascinating stuff I never knew before. Still haven’t got around to playing the pin yet.
Speaking of Sorcerer’s Lair, I fired it up yesterday since it’s the only non-WMS table I own and my god was it painful. The physics feel like the ball is rolling through molasses. Couldn’t even finish one game because it felt so lifeless. I really, really hope they do add the WMS physics to the...
