Thanks for sorting the star trek button, Ryan.
I wonder why those tables needed to be updated? Would it have been because I ran the beta before updating, and that forced an update somehow.
Every time I install an updated build, I always update all tables. Were any table assets changed in the...
Are you referring to the music drop when there is a ball locked in the head, and the match sequence music gets cut as soon as the ball release solenoid is fired?.
If so, then this is a known issue with the ROM programming, and not and issue with Farsight's implementation.
I think this has something to do with the screen touch zones, and how they are broken up.
In the case where the flipper is activating the special button, the button is probably positioned in the same touch zone demarcated for the flippers.
The issue (potentially) is the area dedicated to...
I'll add to this observation.
When playing in Landscape mode, the camera switches focus to the backglass. However, when playing in portrait mode, the backglass is never shown.
Can anyone else replicate this particular behavior between landscape and portrait modes?
... and watch the leaderboard scores climb astronomically for this table with the introduction of this exploit. This seems similar to the Frankenstein Multiball bug that was present on Monster Bash.
How many games have you had this happen on netizen? I'm going to try and replicate this once I'm...
That's great to hear, but this is exactly what I'm talking about.
We can only guess without a per-table, change log (terse details at a minimum, more detailed info FTW)
No problem :D
I'm not sure if you're aware, but the clue to finding out whether a table has updated "assets" (things like graphics, physics, and bug fixes), is that when you scroll through the table list, the game's attract music is replaced by the default Pinball Arcade menu music (listen for...
Hey Ryan,
If table assets are updated each release, can you provide a basic change log for each table?
It would stop us trying to guess what improvements were made to the tables (although some could argue this is "fun" to do). ;)
its also worth taking the time to say thanks for doing async...
Yep, did the same thing with USB/BT Joystick Center. Works great with a Wii Classic Controller. Exportable maps, just like the one you tried. All these apps require root because access the touch-screen requires elevated privileges.
I've got a TF300T USB OTG dongle coming in the next few weeks...
So for those who were wondering why some of the latest tables needed to be downloaded again, I think it is because the special buttons have been normalized across some tables.
The ones I had to download again were:
AFM
ST:TNG
GENIE
TWILIGHT ZONE
MEDIEVAL MADNESS
All good on the TF300T Ryan. That is, definitely no regressions. The screen res on the TF300T was only 720p anyhow, so the menu issues that Carl experienced never happened in my model.
Looking forward to the new tables next week. Never played either of them, so it will be a bit of a treat.
So you don't have an "Asus customized settings" menu on the Nexus 7. That's where the option lives on the TF models.
Because nexus devices offer "vanilla Android" user experience, it is likely you don't have this.
It's that *still* an issue? I reported that same issue when that table came out on Android. I have a feeling that issue was fixed on Android. What platform are you on?
For Android (in order of priority)
1. Keyboard/controller support (let us choose the controller we want to use, not locked to a brand).
2. High-detail table models. Get some tasks off Ryan's and Jason's plate so he can give us this heavily in-demand feature for the growing user base of tablet...
