This was originally on the Android thread, so I just assumed it was for android specific chatter.
A generic channel would be good I think. Perhaps #PinballArcadeFans would be better.
I'll register that one.
EDIT: #PinballArcadeFans is now a registered Freenode Room. Enjoy!
I think there's some merit to having the master leaderboard reset every three months. On pinball machines, the operator can reset the High Score To Date (HSDT) memory to re-invigorate competition.
For those people who say "I don't want my 15bn BoP score wiped" (for example), I'd say, "If you...
Pinball Arcade Fans had a G+ presence. Which means G+ hangouts. ;-)
We could easily set up a room on freenode. Something like #PAF_Android
Edit: #PinballArcadeFans is now up on freenode.org as a registered room. See you all there. :D
I like beta testing stuff anyhow, so combining my passion for Pinball with software testing is a no-brainer. This is why I eagerly await new builds. The great thing about Farsight and the licensing model is that there is minimal risk of piracy with releasing the beta builds because of the DLC.
Just observed an interesting graphical bug on CFTBL.
http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/1484-Creature-ramp-is-missing-the-right-hand-wall-of-the-ramp?p=21623#post21623
Reported it to support@ for tracking.
I've discovered through a bit of research that the creature ramp is missing a wall completely.
Here is a real table, with the creature ramp visible:
Note where the plastic ramp joins the metal half-scoop at the ramp entrance, and how it has a right-hand wall.
Now look at the image snapped...
I don't know if this particular release is an edge-case, but I'm not seeing as many new bugs reported in this thread as the last few builds. Do you think our beta-testing efforts might just be staring to pay dividends Ryan?
If you guys can get the build to us early, we can all maybe give it a...
I'd hate to think how much STERN had to pay to licence their ELVIS pinball machine in that case. There are so many Elvis tracks and licences in that game that it would have cost a small fortune.
I'm speculating that it would be the same if not more than the TZ licence fees.
Wonder what would happen if you used something like SoundHound or something. Soundhound can detect songs if you sing them or hum them, so I'm sure the sound from the game would be enough to get a match if one existed.
I'd do it now, but I'm in the office and don't want to make noise ;)
Yep, if you let the balls drain passively from the upper-playfield, the return angle down the ramp will give you a STDM pretty much every time.
However I think the gameplay strategy with this table is to keep the ball in the upper playfield as much as you can during play. That is how I'm...
Yep, I've unsubscribed from TPA FB. In fact, I've kind of soft-unsubscribed from FB altogether. G+ is the place for me. Pinball Arcade Fans has a presence on G+ now.
Frostyglitch and I curate content for it.
I've already sent some players over to the forum based on my interactions with them...
Found this in one of my G+ contact's feeds. I haven't seen anything so self-contained and wonderful for new pinball fans. I learned technical names for many of the things I do when playing pinball from this infographic.

Settings persistence is a problem for all settings on Android. Every time I restart the game, I need to configure how the Tilt works (Switch from touchscreen to shake).
And regarding the visibility of CV DMD, I also find on the SGS2 that the playfield-rendered DMD gets horizontal banding on it...
Removing all balls from the table and resetting locked balls during a game will cause issues with the game logic. On CV, it already tries to eject locked balls that are reset to the trough at the start a new game.
This is probably a request for another thread, but tables that can manage the...
