With the Android fragmentation out there, I think we owe it to you guys to help out with testing. Maybe identifying some of these more invasive bugs on a range of HW before release might curb the flow of bugs post-release. It might give you the heads-up you need to nip the issues in the bud...
I've got a different method:
1. Start the game and let it force close (usually happens now on the latest version, although could be my combination of processor overclocking and lulzactive governor).
2. Give it a few moments, then restart the game from the home screen.
3. Start the game again...
I find the animation you've chosen when the magnet pulses the captured ball on the elevated Ringmaster to be a little "tweaked".
On every production table I've seen, the inertia of the ball *never* makes the ringmaster move as shown in the video.
The ball jiggles randomly, then flies off the...
Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinball_2000#Games, and if you haven't already, get your hands on Tilt: The Battle to Save Pinball. The *best* pinball documentary I've seen.
The only option is to play BoP with the HUD turned off for older devices. Even on the SGS2, the gameplay is sometimes choppy, so don't just think it is limited to older devices.
I understand Farsight is attempting to optimise the HUD code to make it less processor-intensive.
When I changed my...
On the actual game, there are two plastic guides attached to the left and right ramps that ensure that when the ball fails to make the ramp, it is returned to the right wall of each ramp (see the slightly prismatic effect in the image below, which makes the ramp graphics look less sharp (that is...
I was playing MM, and I noticed the Service Report dot after the FREE PLAY (credit indicator). The right ramp diverter was locked open for some reason and all shots up that ramp were entering the damsel lock.
The fault persisted for the entire time the game was loaded.
The workaround was to...
Pretty sure you can see the full table at all times if you set the camera mode to fixed. But then you don't get the table-zoom effect to upper-playfield detail (which is useful on phones with smaller screens). Depends on the trade-off, and what you're willing to put up with I guess.
Confirmed this happened (today in fact) on my SGS2, running ICS. It has also happened before as well. I can't replicate the conditions to make it happen either, which makes it hard to test for more detailed bug report.
Yep, just played BoP with headphones in, and can confirm it is "Engage. Optical. Circuits". Nothing like emulation coupled with pre-DCS robot voices to make speech easy to understand, right ;)
yep, there are definite sound issues with BoP.
But these same sound issues also appear when you are playing Visual Pinball versions of the table. The Match sound drop issues (as soon as the lock release solenoid fires) is a confirmed issue with the ROM. (also happened in the production version...
Do you play with headphones?
I was listening to the Circus Voltaire promo vid from Farsight the other day, and worked out for the first time what "Holy Smokes! The BOOM! marvel is yours" actually said. Thought it said "Holy Smokes! The BOOM doubles the scores".
