Actually, the fact that he said TPA is for "pinball purists" seems to suggest pretty clearly that he's talking about the gameplay, and it's a valid opinion. Obviously your opinion is different, but it's still just an opinion, just as valid as his.

Pretty sure he's talking about the actual gameplay in terms of simulation vs. arcade, not the companies' PR, release schedules, other features, etc.
