I have not played that table since the DX11 Beta went live, but I seem to recall that it did randomly change colors, but I had to open another table and return to CV again to see it change, and sometimes fate had the same color a few times in a row before it finally changed. I wanted to play it...
In windowed mode, I was using ALT+ENTER to go into full screen mode, and the first time it always went to 1600x1200, so I had to repeat the process again to get 1920x1080 to work. This is with GTX770 video card. When I get home tonight I will try the full screen mode, if it does the same thing...
For a cab, a PC is the only option I would recommend. The consoles also have longstanding bugs and the process to update and patch is terribly cumbersome and slow. The variable sliders for lighting effects along with portrait mode are vital to any cab. The PS4 may not ever have these options...
Yep, same here with a GTX770 (driver version 350.12) with i7-3770K cpu. Always a solid 60 FPS at 1920x1080. I play in landscape mode with view 2 or 3, depending on the table. Maxed DX11 settings and the room light is set to 20% and lamps to 55%. Never drops below 60 FPS on any of the tables...
While I have a PS4 hooked up to a 52" 1080p TV, I was still very impressed with DX11 version on my 27" 1080p monitor. Considering the viewing distance, they are very similar in size from a playing perspective.
That said, I was really impressed with Medieval Madness with the new lighting...
Windows 7
i7 3770K
nVidia GTX 770 2MB
16GB ram
I have two 1920x1080 60Hz monitors, but no matter what I've attempted so far in either the PBA Launch Utility or the nVidia, the game always comes up windowed with black bars on either side, and if I select CTRL+ENTER for full screen, the monitor...
The new camera angles and updated lighting effects will make it much easier to spot the ball as it flies through and out of the table on Black Knight. Can't wait.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for this mod, and there is no legal issue about its implementation. This is no different than any other game trainer, except that the function doesn't allow the player to cheat and it is innocuous. Besides, it would be difficult for Farsight to attempt to continually...
This hack appears to allow the player to have a free camera mode to view the entire table, which is an enhanced option as part of the Pro purchase. That might be a problem.
No kidding. Just wait, there will be 2 separate files, a DX9 version and a new DX11 version, but something will go awry and it will wipe out all of our saved games so that any high scores and achieved goals are lost forever...but we will finally have cool, flashing lights.
Thanks SYT for organizing this each week. Great idea! I learn quite a bit from everyone and enjoy spending some time delving deeper into the history and general information about the tables. I have competed the wizard goals on nearly every table (4 tables remaining), including this one, but...
Each table is fundamentally identical. Hit balls with flippers to hit target shots. Playing any of them will improve your skill over time. Do what I did. I played the games based on which table I needed to complete standard goals. Once completed, move on to the next table that interests you...
"Mission Accomplished" sounds when you get a special by having the ball pass over a lit outlane, which awards an extra ball in TPA. "FIREPOWER Mission Accomplished" sounds if you beat the high score to date on the table. I don't believe this awards anything in TPA, other than perhaps a credit...
