    Starship Troopers Leaderboards

I'm on the top 10 for scoring, but I can't seem to get the goals to register. I made it to Lieutenant in rank, but never got the advance rank goal.

    Version 1.34.8

Very odd. I guess I'm not sure what I am looking at with all the stuff on the side of your video. I play on a Windows 7 PC with a nVidia GTX770 and an Intel i7-3770K and the ball behaves much differently. I'm uploading a video now and will post it once it is completed.

Table of the Week Club...week 1 : GENIE

I suppose it depends on the targets you typically hit and how long you can make each ball last when it comes to 3-ball vs 5-ball settings. 3-ball is 60% of the 5-ball game, yet the scoring for the top red and white targets is twice as much (10K vs 5K), each unlit A-B-C-D rollover is 4 times as...

    Version 1.34.8

Is that the mobile version? Nothing like that occurs with the PC (Windows 7) version? Guess the physics are CLEARLY not the same between platforms, even though they are supposedly using the same coding parameters. To that end, I made Lieutenant on PC and the standard goal for advancing rank...

    Version 1.34.8

Something with the leaderboards, from what I gather. The table is full of bugs, and I don't mean the toys. I have an issue where a ball is missing and the game is essentially done unless I restart, but I just don't like this game enough to do that, so I just stop playing it. If the problem...

Table of the Week Club...week 1 : GENIE

I feel the same way about Going Nuts. I finally just quit about a minute after completing the wizard goals on that table.

Table of the Week Club...week 1 : GENIE

An Ancient Greek mystic tossed some finger bones onto a flat rock soaked with the blood of a virgin and determined that Tee'd Off will be the next table of the week.

Table of the Week Club...week 1 : GENIE

I tracked my scores on a spreadsheet with 5-ball and 3-ball, and on average my scores were nearly doubled playing 3-ball. My high score with 5-ball is just over 3 million, and I scored over 6 million this week playing 3-ball.

    Higher pitched music/sounds - Reboot

There are scripts available that can clamp the FPS of the game. It would be interesting to see if the sounds change pitch when the game's frames per second are forced lower. This might provide another clue to where the issue might be.

Table of the Week Club...week 1 : GENIE

I knew about the differences between 3-ball and 5-ball, but I never guesses that it would be an available option. Since I normally only have great success with one, and perhaps two balls, the 3-ball option is better for me as the scoring is significantly higher per shot. I did well to get over...

Table of the Week Club...week 1 : GENIE

Nice! I'll try and catch that score. I got all the Wizard goals this month, and my 3M+ game is listed as 3rd for the month. I am at #3 for the week and it appears that your score is leading the way...for now. :p Here are some of my tips to everyone, for whatever they may be worth: Getting...

    Best Rock N' Roll Pinball

I'd love to see a pinball table that could play music from streaming services, online radio stations, or local folders/playlists while adjusting the shots and targets based on the song characteristics. Something like a Rock Band or Guitar Hero type game perhaps, but without the song pack...

We still don't know when or even if DX11 is coming. Seems very likely, yes, but there is no guarantee. I appreciate the developers throwing us a bone, though.

    Top 3 Showdown: Farsight's Official Pre-1980 Poll

I love all pinball tables in some way, though I definitely have my preferences. I don't care as much for the more complicated layouts, and many of my favorite tables often have only 2 flippers. There are always exceptions, and I even enjoy Genie and Haunted House, just not as much as MM or...

Hey Mike, please put a sticky note on his monitor asking him to consider using sliders to control the intensity of the DX11 lighting effects rather than using PS4-like static settings. (dark, normal, bright)

    Top 3 Showdown: Farsight's Official Pre-1980 Poll

Wow, Silverball reminds me of the 1966 Williams 8 Ball table I use to play at my friend's house when I was kid. The family moved into the cul-de-sac when I was 9, and this table was in the garage until I left for college. Might still be there now. The father was a General Counsel for the...

    Top 3 Showdown: Farsight's Official Pre-1980 Poll

Sex sells, and Xenon and Paragon were created toward the end of the sexual revolution. Times were certainly different back then. Some of the airline commercials were sexist and rife with sexual innuendo. I've been trying to cut back on the use of sexual innuendos, but it has been...

    Top 3 Showdown: Farsight's Official Pre-1980 Poll

I was 12 when Xenon was first released. Back then, hearing the oo's and ah's of the sexy Xenon table almost felt like sneaking a peek at a Playboy magazine as a kid. Ciani did a wonderful job capturing the sounds and atmosphere of this table. It would be a shame if both Xenon and Paragon are...
