Yes, they've gotten much better in this regard. Brakel is correct that there was a time when the table bug threads specifically weren't getting any attention from them at all, but they've really stepped up there.
I hear you. It's just sort of a catch 22 when less people buy the DLC because of the lack of polish, features, etc. For example, I stopped buying the PS3 stuff before season 1 was even over, and I know I'm not the only one. I just have to wonder what might've been had management put more of a...
I personally feel that you make a valid point, to a degree. I've felt from the very beginning that the lack of polish has hurt their sales. In some ways, they've improved on this over time, but not as much as they really should have focused on it (this is nothing against the developers, as it's...
I think it's good that these things are brought up often. Otherwise they kinda just get swept under the carpet.
Yes, it's true that these things take more work than the average gamer might think, but now that we've cleared that up, the concerns/requests themselves are legitimate.
Polish has...
Do you guys think Farsight is ever going to make the nudging and/or tilt sensitivity more realistic? (and Farsight, if you're reading, please chime in)
NOTE: this discussion relates to non-touchscreen controls.
As good as TPA is, this is one of its biggest flaws, IMO. Now as I've said many...
That segment was a lot of fun. I really liked hearing about Timelord's experiences in Chicago, the home of pinball as we know it...as well as the Blues, great Pizza, the best sports teams on the planet, etc...can you tell I love Chicago? :)
If you ever feel adventurous, it looks like there are...
That reminds me, I made a short video a few months back demonstrating the crazy nudging and very generous tilt sensitivity:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/t62a6y181611nmg/nudge.mp4
The other side of the coin is if you play Big Shot with a controller on PC for example, you can essentially nudge forever without tilting if you're careful, so there needs to be some middle ground.
Yeah, they're definitely better in real life, as is every pinball machine...but EM's especially. The bounces are much more varied and unpredictable in the real world, and that makes a big difference on EM's since the playfield is generally more open. Combine that with outlanes that are even...
Good thread, Draino. I made a one like this awhile back, but it's time for a new one since we have many more tables now and the tuning has progressed in some ways.
Here's the old thread for reference:
http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/4992-Best-TPA-Tables-in-Regards-to-Tuning
Since the results are labled "Voted for Diner" and "Voted for Earthshaker or Cyclone", wouldn't we already pretty much know the results by looking at the actual table poll itself?
I'm going to merge this with your other similar thread. Instead of making a new thread every time, try adding a post to an existing thread with the same topic.
Yes, there definitely are pinball snobs. Sean freely admitted in the last podcast that he's a bit of a DMD snob, for example. That seems to be the most common type.
Don't worry about getting kicked out the forum, heh. You're a good guy and varying opinions are welcomed here. Even among the...
