I have Rocksmith, bought it a month before TPA came out. You do the math!
It has a horrible menu interface, but the play of it is pretty cool. Worth getting.
Endless set list, that is the one things I've never even attempted. No pausing and no breaks for 3+ hours? Yikes!
I'm Pacific Standard, so your game times match up perfectly with mine, 10-midnight.
Yeah, it is kinda crazy to think how much money I spent on these games too. I will say this...
Confession: I used to be a Guitar Hero / Rock Band junky. Even long after it stopped being remotely popular.
While I'm grateful I never succumbed to purchasing any DLC (never could justify it), I did pay the transfer fee so that the majority of songs from the various titles would all live...
Whoo hoo!
So I get to play in the OC Pinball League tourney on Sunday! If I'm able to show up at 4 of these in a row, I'll no longer have to be on the stand by list. Judging by the listing on their website, there's usually 40 participants. I've never played pinball in real life in a tourney...
Thoughts on Mod Neutrality...
You are not, as you said, an employee of FarSight. You are a mod on a fan sight. Be a fan. We want you to be 'one of us', since you are. If instead you detach from that reality, you become 'the man', and nobody likes 'the man'. Since you mods have a little more...
Considering how much each table kicked my a$$, I totally need to brush up on technique!
In other news, I got my invite to join the OC Pinball League...now I just need them to have an opening for me to actually get in to play. Will find out in 2 days.
Agreed. It clashes with the off white of the table graphics. Don't like it at all.
The thing I like most about incandescent lights is that they take a moment to turn off completely. There's that fading glow. Don't know if they make LED's like that, but it's the thing I notice the most.
He also seems to be reviewing the concept of the game, rather than the game itself. His comment about calling the attendant was laughable considering how often that actually works. Also, despite it saying it was a review for PS3, that was about as generic platform wise as you could get.
Still...
Let's just say I've heard enough of the 'origin story' interviews. I'm not gonna wade through a half hour of audio where 26 minutes of it is stuff I already know. That's why we like you Jeff!
That had nothing to do with the table being level. Nate (the owner) was actually trying to figure out if it's adjustable. I'd say 7 outta 10 times it'd shoot the middle. All it took was the slightest nudge to get it to touch the left flipper instead. The kickouts on Metallica are pretty strong...
I didn't bother with pics, as honestly there are a ton of them to be found now and mine would be no different. The owner of the table seemed happy with the machine. He had never put one on route before, was really just looking for reaction to his LED install. As far as the pro version goes, I...
I was fine with them. I don't know what people were expecting. I found it strange that some swearing was bleeped, while others weren't. The music kinda just becomes white noise and has no bearing on game play, but was still cool. Loved the electric chair and the blinding lighting that goes off...
So I'm cruising through Craigslist this morning, and I see "Metallica pin, $1". I'm like, nice bait and switch add! Instead, it was a local pizza place I've been meaning to check out advertising they have the Metallica pin for a limited time. Well twist my arm why don't you.
Went there in the...
