Went to play Firepower and got no table image. Deleted the table under manage tables and re-downloaded the table (v6) with the same result - no table image. Also restarted the program. Don't see the issues with other tables. I can still "play" as the table sounds and ball still work but...

You have previously purchased Season 2 tables that are missing from your My Tables folder but are showing up in the Previous Seasons folder as if you didn't buy them? I don't seem to have that issue this time around but it wouldn't be the first time an update has caused something like this...

There's been a "slowdown" issue since at least Mavericks. It seems to impact users differently though.
As far as I can tell there's also still a frame rate issue related to AA settings - there should be a warning to never mess with those...

I've got no inside info but, based on past releases, we should be no more than three to four days away from the next "fix" (i.e., 4.1.2, the return of the missing tables) in the App Store. Anything much beyond that means FS didn't get the 4.1.1 problem solved quickly. It's still frustrating...
Do you see any difference if you turn on the fix to 30 FPS second option? That seems to have changed it from unplayable to adequate on my machine. So far...
Got a reply from Support today regarding the missing tables from Season 1:
"Very sorry about that! One fix seems to have caused another problem... we're looking into it."
