The skill shot is useful for setting up the upper right flipper to left ramp shot or train deadend shot. Listen for the saucer kickout, wait the right amount of time, hit right flipper to make either shot.
If you get good enough to make that shot based on just the saucer kickout sound...
Thing Flips is also aided by the 4 adjacent targets on either side of the Swamp entrance. If Thing's flip resulted in a hit on the adjacent targets, it knows to compensate flipping earlier or later next time.
No, not that. I mean as the ball is on its way to the flipper, if I hit the left flipper at all, even before the ball arrives, Thing's timing is thrown off and he'll miss the shot.
Interesting way of using a skill based ball saver to eliminate the element of chance in ending a game.
I supposed they could have made it a test of knowledge instead. Imagine, an Cat Fact Trivia Question ball saver.
Heh heh.
On Android here's how to toggle between Gold and Standard: Launch TAF. Table Menu, Options. Scroll to the end of the list of settings, Gold mode: on/off.
SYT, totally agree. I think the voicing acting that Raul Julia brought to this table is top notch. Every one of his callouts is perfect, and has so much appropriate energy. Just hit the Jackpot, Double Jackpot and Triple Jackpot and you'll hear his range.
Such a consummate professional actor...
I've played their newly released Android version. There's something wonky with the swipe detection. Most of the time it's fine, then sometimes it thinks you wanted to throw a gutterball angled to the far right. Ugh.
