Then I spent money. A lot of money. Didn't want to. But, them's the breaks. Bought a new Alltek MPU, Solenoid Driver, and Lamp Driver Board. I didn't have the equipment to properly repair the MPU and I wanted to run LED's so I bought the lamp board as well. I also, bought the replacement...
Then, I took the original grayish black Bally legs (which were rusted) and sanded them down and repainted them a hammered black. Afterwards I misted on a chrome spray to give them a speckled look. I completely disassembled the coin door and cleaned it. I applied a new Bally Susan B Anthony...
Then, my father, who works with fiberglass, repairs the damage to the cabinet. It's not perfect and I'm sure others can do better but it looks ok and it's on the side that you don't see in my game room. I don't have a picture but he basically filled it with a flat black compound that blends...
So, first. I just strip all the wiring harnesses from the cabinet and back box. And wash them. Here's an example. This is the cabinet wiring including the tilt mechanisms along with the power switch.

So, with winter coming, wanted to get this game done before it gets really cold in my garage. Honestly, it's a mess. It stinks. There's varmit hair everywhere. Rust a plenty. Most of the connectors are not attached. The MPU still has the original battery which has corroded the hell out of...
As many of you guys know I've been wanting a Centaur for years. I was one of the biggest cheerleaders during that first Bally poll that FarSight did, what, three years ago? Though I liked playing TPA's version, I wanted the real thing. I wanted the reverb echoing in my house. BUT, this game...
I like Bad Cats. Wish they could have shoe horned a two ball multi ball but I understand that they were going for something more old school. Theme is a love/hate thing though and I can see that. But I like the other games you have listed too. Except Big Guns. The cannons are gimmicky in...
A buddy of mine was going to see AC/DC just prior to Brian Johnson announcing his hearing loss. The prices in Philly were crazy. My wife and I went to the PPL Center this summer to see Def Leppard and REO Speedwagon at about $90 bucks a seat. Now we were close to the stage so that wasn't too...
I'll say that I never expected SPA releases to be monthly. It's gotta be much more work to digitize each of these tables not to mention that FarSight is still doing TPA. I still am happy that this even exists. Pinball table prices have spiraled out of control and I don't have any locations...
As a huge fan of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, I've been looking forward to this game since it was first announced quite a few years ago. It comes out this Tuesday, the 6th...finally. Can it...possibly...live up to expectations??? Hoping....:o
The lighting has improved a lot. I use Cinema settings on my plasma which tend to be darker. I made a setting on my TV that's a bit brighter and more contrasty just for SPA. I can say I don't need to use it anymore BUT I still do for ST because I like the inserts to be really bright.
Ball...
These are both great tables. Very different from one another. They also look pretty good on my iPad. FarSight always seems to do better justice to the "simpler" tables. C37 showcases Gottlieb's late 70's adoption of the asymmetrical design that's seen in many of their games of this era...
The Krull movie is a childhood guilty pleasure of mine so that makes a difference to me. Also, they did Goin' Nuts and that game sucks. I have to played Orbitor 1 and, yes, it's a novelty. Krull's real issue is the code didn't look complete but, at least, it's a normal pinball game unlike the...
Yes. Williams did have the choice of American Gladiators or Rollergames. This was discussed in an old TopCast interview. I'm not sure if it was Steve Ritchie's or someone else involved. We can hope it's Rollergames because Gladiators is a real stinker. If they're going to do a Premier, at...
