Wife and I work the weekend so we had dinner with her family last night and stayed home today. She gets a free turkey from work each year. I prepped it last night (bag style) and we cooked it today. She made home made potato filling and green bean casserole. We did seasoning packet turkey...
Thanks guys. I do put a few games in just about every day. I start with AC/DC, then ST and finally Mustang. I'm an AC/DC fan so the music is a big draw. The rules are deep too. But, I would say I enjoy "playing" ST the best. It's so smooth and the sound package is superb. Mustang? It...
Some thoughts after playing SPA for a while. First, other than that LAH still doesn't have AC/DC's Big Gun, I don't give a hoot and hell about the older tables on this platform. No lighting slider is a gigantic bummer and hopefully it's added in the future. I've made a custom setting on my...
All in all, $30 for these three modern Stern pins aren't too bad. Even with their graphical problems, hopefully this is a beginning of Stern releasing their new stuff digitally as well as physically. With the asinine prices of new pins, SPA is something for the "poorer" folk. I don't see any...
I emailed FarSight when LAH came out. Their response was that they didn't have the AC/DC license. Why it's still that way now that they have if for Stern's AC/DC, I don't know.
Yup. I'll be buying. I put about 150 hrs in Skyrim and almost 200 hrs. in Fallout 4. And I still got Doom on my shelf waiting to be finished. December 6th? Same day as Last Guardian. See if I can find the time.
ACDC is missing the flasher effect when the ball is in the pops. Also, the table lighting needs to be toned down some or the inserts need to be turned up. It's tough to see what is flashing on them.
No matter what settings you use the ball looks dull. I've played some Mustang and will say it looks the best of the three. Hopefully this is a sign for tables to come. But, yes, you have to crank up your TV settings to make this game look right.
Here's a couple positive things.
If you change your TV to VIVID, it looks better. Not a perfect fix but works well. I, like most people who value a proper look, set their TV's to cinema, but it just looks too dull in SPA.
Also, the sound is top notch. Much better than TPA. Crank it on the...
While these are not perfect, here is a some comparisons for ACDC and Star Trek. Please keep in mind that my screen captures by my phone accentuate the brights more than what you see IRL. ACDC isn't too bad but Star Trek is WAY too dark. And the flasher effects on both tables are pitiful. I...
I played Ripleys for a bit. Looks like the night mode in TPA. I would not rebuy the older tables unless financially logical. I'll pick up Mustang by itself.
Just a couple initial thoughts before going to the garage to work on my Centaur (ugh! It's taking forever!). There's no lighting adjustment and while Star Trek and AC/DC should look like they're LED'd, they don't. The lighting effects are very bland and flat looking with little to no pop...
Well it's up. The main game is free and comes with MSF. They're charging ten bucks a piece for Mustang and Star Trek. TWENTY bucks for AC/DC. All these tables are the premium versions. All the previous DE and Sega and Stern tables are on here too minus F2K.
They've designed this pricing...
