Now someone just needs to explain to me why he sometimes says "I'm not happy with you now!" and "I thought we were pals!" for no reason whatsoever. :( Well... if there's a reason then I couldn't figure it out so far. *g*
This is a bit like history repeating itself. Or am I the only one who is reminded of the Twilight Zone-Kickstarter, which went pretty slowly at first too... and then more and even more tiers went out, as well as more platforms. Makes me wonder why they didn't sort it all out before. Especially...
Well, it's a game that's more than 10 years old after all. However I do think it holds up very well. I just played for the first time in my life... and I liked it a lot. The shots are fun, the attention to detail is amazing, there are lots of things to go for and the physics really aren't too...
I find the ball on this table to be a little odd, too. It feels very slippery, like it's been dipped in soap or something. And it's strangely accelerated... as if it's coming down from MM's dragon ramp all the time.
I mean, the table isn't unplayable or anything, but I find it very hard to do...
Actually, they have those now! With arrows and everything! So at least in that part they've been learning.
In the end though it changes nothing about it that the tables are just a cluttered oversaturated mess.
After trying out a few tables on Zen Pinball 2 I can't say that I notice any big differences (let alone even improvements) in the physics. The ball still does feel either way to heavy or way to light depending on the situation... or just does plain odd things that I can't wrap my mind around...
Yeah, I've seen this too a few days ago. I wonder though what's up with that. So it seems that the trophies are implemented already... but just not activated yet or something?
However these happen very frequent on this table, especially compared to the others that are on TPA so far. (Only TOTAN is worse in that department, where virtually everything can turn into a death shot so it seems.) And the ball coming STDM when it goes through the loop around the ringmaster is...
Of course, but there's this thing called "TILT!". ;) And it's not like just because you nudge everything magically resolves by itself. A nudge may save the ball... but it's not 100% guaranteed that it will.
Besides, I think if the only way you can play a table properly is by correcting the ball...
Yep! Exactly my thoughts.
Apart from that, you really need some nerves of steel to get to the said shot from beginning to end. Not always you manage to get from A to B, and when you lose one of the two balls you usually have to go back right to the start. And then the big wheel won't always...
No, I think he meant the ball physics.
Well, anyway... I managed to join the circus once, too. But really, only once. Same goes for starting the wizard mode in the first place. But this was more a case of luck than skill. And I didn't get past the 28 Mio (or whatever it is) to earn the extra...
Okay, TOTAN frustrated the hell out of me... RBION even more... and CV actually should take the cake, but for some reason it doesn't. Probably because it's just plain hopeless. Yes, those outlanes are so greedy it's preposterous, but they aren't the only problem. Loops, ramps, orbits...
To me those epic marathon sessions seem like urban legends. My longest Zen game probably rivals one of my shorter TPA games. I always hear about these tables being way too easy because the flippers are too close together and yet I witness the ball slipping through the center all the time. (And...
Some time ago I found a few machines in a cinema in Arcaden Berlin-Neukölln. They had TLOTR, TOTAN and Wheel of Fortune... and they all were in pretty good shape. I defeated a Balrog and almost got TOTAN into wizard mode. Wheel of Fortune was a ball draining bastard however (bah, those...
Having finished the standard goals on all and the wizard goals on some tables already I wonder though if there's still any chance in getting those trophies. I'm not sure if there's any way to reset those goals/tables. Well, if there is then I don't know how to do it.
