Playing Tips
Spelling PARAGON is fun, but the other saucers are worth a lot more points. The Golden Cliffs Saucer (left of the Paragon saucer) gives you increasing points every time the you land in it. You can adjust the plunger to be more likely to land in it. Nudging will help, too.
Paragon...
That's pretty much what I was saying. Playing a few games trying to get one of the goals is a great way to start to learn about the table (especially if the goal is fun but not real easy for you.) Some tables have easier goals. You might complete some of them without even trying.
Whether...
Dave and Kolchak have given you the two basic schools of thought on the subject. Either you hold some of the balls or you hide some of the balls. Try a table that you already like that also has some places to keep a ball busy (a long, slow ramp or bumpers that hold on to the ball for a while.)...
I'm surprised nobody recommended Bride of Pin*Bot. It's an easy table that provides a reasonable challenge for a beginner. The ruleset is simpler than Theatre of Magic, but it has the pinball basics. There's a skill shot, a big point shot, a natural progression of rules (create the bride, ) and...
1. He was referring to the personality of the users.
2. It is not a trivial fix when there is no keymapping for the Mac version of TPA.
3. The Mac version is—by far—the poorest supported of the platforms. It gets all of the tables that the iOS version gets, but they are straight ports from iOS...
No, it's not because of the artwork. I was alive and played both tables during the golden age of pinball (or at least one of the three-or-so golden ages.) Paragon is far and away more fun to play. As others have pointed out, Embryon has more things to do, and was easier on your quarter supply...
The back button and no scrolling up are evidence of pretty poor quality control. They're stronger evidence of why you should never buy the Mac version via the App Store. Buy the Steam version and play on Mac and/or PC. A copy of Windows for a partition on your Mac is well worth it for even one...
I'm guessing another victim of the focus on Stern Pinball Arcade. Even with the new interface, the Mac version would still be an iOS port. It's not like the graphics would be in the ballpark of the PC version.
In the Steam client, go to Library and then click on Dirt 3. There should be a link for the Manual under LINKS. It may be available in-game, too.
If you are looking for strategy/tips then just search for it on the web. The usual GameFAQs and other sites will come up.
Why would any calendar show anything other than "astronomical" seasons? I can use the word "season" to mean many things, but why the argument over semantics? FS is clearly talking about astronomical seasons.
That was ridiculously complicated. They never spell things out clearly. You have to click on "add a game" (lower left in the Steam client) in order to redeem a code.
I have never heard of "business" fall, and the calendar is pretty clear on when a season begins and ends--it is never on the last day of a month. The Southern Hemisphere has reversed seasons, but FS is clearly referring to the current season. Trust me, FS needs as long of a fall as it can get.
