Microsoft and Disney, my two most hated companies for years, finally come together to annoy me in one place: TPA. Working as a spiteful tag team, one stops us getting Indy among other tables, the other delaying the release of tables we can actually have on PS4. Class acts all round.
Agreed, it's far from the world's worst table, or the best. I think the whole poker thing (that, unless I'm missing something, seems to have nothing to do with the overall theme) actually saves it.
I love when people take the blatant nonsense I come out with seriously, but just to clarify in case it's causing confusion, Diner isn't cancelled. I was just taking the sensible logic of Bowflex's post to an unrealistic extreme. :p
But if Diner can't be pack 30, then if we get to pack 28 and it's not Diner, we'll know Diner must be pack 29, so there'll be no point in a clue, so Diner can't be pack 29, meaning Diner must be pack 28, though there's now no point in a clue for pack 28 if we all know it must be Diner, so the...
Note to self: Must add 'Just kidding folks!!!!' after any ironic or less than serious comment. :p
Please see the second paragraph of my post for my 'serious' reply to the thread ;)
That looks like Lights Camera Action.... again! I'll take any table they put out, but trying to sell the same table in 2 packs back to back is pushing even me!
In seriousness, I'm ruling out Diner, they won't release two alpha-numerics back to back surely, some people won't like it!
Even if you hate this, lets look on the bright side: This actually gives hope for tables like Mousin' Around, Bad Cats, Radical, and many others a lot of us want but assumed would never come now we're only getting single table releases. FS must have seen this backlash coming and are expecting...
Lets keep the chat clean and not use language like 'Ep*s*de One'. I got 5 credits for £1 when I found this one. Walked away with 4 left in there. Still get moments of guilt for whoever found and played those credits, maybe a young first time player, now put off of pinball for life.
I do believe FS will eventually release 8BD, maybe to test the water for releasing a classic table on it's own. If there's a backlash and sales are poor, especially for the most requested classic, then that will be that. If there's only money to be made from more popular modern tables, well...
Fathom was high on my list. Here's hoping your optimism's well placed. Fireball's a good one too, not familiar with TX Sector though.
I'm with drdrey with Bad Cats too.
So excluding premium license tables, which is the table you most want that you're pretty sure will never make it to TPA? We all must have a good few tables we love that don't seem popular enough or are sadly too 'old' to be considered potentially profitable enough (or at all) for a standalone...
I'm not a big fan either. I think for a classic Bally, Fathom is far superior and I'd like to see it in TPA.
As for the non-DMD table bashing, I don't like Facebook, so have no idea what's said on there, but I remember a lot of complaining on here every time a Season 2 table pack appeared with...
It was mentioned on another thread that there was a rumour of Disney looking into buying Hasbro. Monopoly seriously needs to happen soon if that's true.
Easiest - Bride of Pinbot. Shame, good table, but too easy to hit that ramp over and over, and the ball's seemingly terrified of the outlanes.
Hardest - am I the only person here who gets destroyed by Whirlwind? Maybe I'm playing it all wrong, but I find it significantly harder than any other...
