I said iwas in the minority here, not you. As for a "bug" ruining a glorious game, that happened in real pinball too. See, that's the thing (for me):
Every "bug" mentioned in these fora, balls missing, 2 balls at plunger, resets of high scores ALL happened in RL. That's the beauty of what Far...
I'm the opposite. Couldn't care less about losing high scores, gives me a chance to move up the leader boards all over again. And if I don't, no big deal. The play is the thing, not whether I'm best or not. In real life it was always me against the machine, not my opponent or highest score...
I got in under the window on the free 30 day exchange from 3 to 4. No actual difference in game play or graphics, but other apps open faster and the wifi is stronger. If you're on a 3, no worries. But a 1 or 2? Like night and day.
I too recently switched from 1 to 3. Ripley alone was worth it! Never knew the game could play so nicely.
As for the rest, as my old designer friend Mike Kubin used to say, "that's pinball!".
Yep, designed by Mike Kubin. Probably Stern's best designer (after Harry Williams). Kirk was a mad genius, but his designs were ahead of Stern's manufacturing capabilities. Kubin played within specs.
I hated Gorgar in RL, but the more I play this (CAM4, Portrait, Scrolling) on my iPad the more I'm loving it. Challenging, but as said above, when you learn the rules and shots its thoroughly enjoyable.
I'm appreciating it as the transition from EM to SS. First "talking" pin as I recall.
Indeed. It's like having multiple versions of the same game(s).
Fwiw, I prefer portrait CAM 4 these days. Just scored 1.1B on MB, and 460K on Gorgar. I think I'll stick with this mode for a spell.
