Aaaah. It's a Shield function, and not a TPA function. It sure would be nice if there were an official FarSight mapping out there, or even a mapping guide. It took me a while to puzzle out some of the basic mapping tools and where to put them. Anyway, better this than nothing, I suppose.
Why in the world is this on the Tegra Store on nVidia Shield without support for the Shield itself? I'm baffled. The way Android's going with gaming, I'd think controller support would be a no-brainer. Is there any chance of this happening in the near future? It seems weird to me that the...
I'll try the PS3 controller thing; I certainly have enough of them around. Thanks for the suggestion!
As for framerate, you're probably right: I plugged my Ouya into a different TV last night, and the framerate was significantly improved. The soft L2/R2 buttons were NOT, and I really wish we...
Wow. I guess I'm first. That never happens.
I hate to start with a complaint, as I was very excited to get another platform for TPA, but... is it just me, or is the framerate on OUYA very choppy? I've played TPA on PS3, PSV, iPhone, Android (Xperia Play), and my Android Tablet (TF300T), and...
I just updated Pinball Arcade on my Vita and all I get is black screen when I try to start the program. Any ideas?
----
Never mind. I've gotten it to run a couple of times. Once I turned the system off and on. Another time it just booted in. Still feels glitchy and takes WAAAAY longer...
That would be the best bathroom ever, although you'd need some hand sanitizer right next to the table(s)! Now I'm imagining a rotating throne with multiple tables arranged in a circle...
I sure hope you're right. I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out that this isn't the case; look at PS3/PS2 backward compatibility, or XBox/360 bc. I would have thought those would be automatic, but I was proven wrong.
Thanks for the heads-up, Crush3d_Turtle. My biggest problem with the 3DS (when I owned one) was that I never played it. When I got my Vita, I played the heck out of TPA for about three weeks... and now I'm done for a while and have nothing else to play. Ah, well. As a gamer, I'm pretty much...
The PSV version is my favorite of all the versions I own (PS3, PSV, iOS, Android). If it had all the tables, I'd be even more excited. In fact, TPA is pretty much THE reason I keep my PSV at this point. If there were a good 3DS version of it, I'd probably dump my Vita.
I liked Black Knight a lot on the Williams PHOF discs. It seems much more difficult on iOS/Android to me.
Personally, I'm glad to see some of the older tables available, especially ones that are historically significant. I kind of take a second play field for granted (and have for years)...
I hope you'll forgive me for not reading the whole thread, but I do have one request for the game: Improved ball visibility. It's not too much of a problem on PS3, but I find I can barely see the thing on smaller screens (Vita, iOS, Android).
Personally, I'd really like to see a toggle option...
I mean a single "shot" from the plunger - no saved balls, extra balls, etc. I definitely don't mean that I hit a single target or jackpot and got 2.3B. That'd be awesome, though! :-)
Sorry for any confusion.
I hauled out my old PS wired-controller-to-PS3-adapter and plugged in a PSOne controller. I felt like there MIGHT still be some lag, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad with that controller. USB-wiring the PS3 controllers in doesn't seem to do any good for me.
4.3 Billion, if I remember correctly. Of course, after I checked the leaderboards last night and saw that #1 is at something like 21B, I didn't feel quite as cool. My "extra" Ball 1s were decent, but 2 & 3 were craptacular. Still, I more than doubled my previous best. I was happy enough to...
Taxi is my favorite PHoF table that we haven't seen yet. I can't wait to play it with the new graphics and physics... and find out I'm even worse at it than before, probably.
TNG isn't confirmed, is it?
When was the last time the PS3 had a major feature stripped out? We've lost SACD, PS2 support, USB ports, memory card ports, and Linux, but those losses are all two years old or more at this point, aren't they? I have a launch 60GB (upgraded to 250GB) and a 160GB Slim, and I've been happier...
I realize this would probably over-complicate things, but how cool would it be to have a table-condition simulator with different sliders? Weak bumpers, randomly shorted-out flippers, iffy magnets, scratches on the table surface, bent railings, etc. Then we could all recreate our "favorite"...
