Okay, so this is one of the few places on the whole internet where I can say what just happened to me and have people appreciate it.
I just had a 2.3 Billion point ball. Not Ball 1 with extra balls, etc., but a single shot garnered me 2.3 Billion points. I just absolutely could not believe...
Wow, thanks for the thorough response. I wondered about the size/resolution of the screen, as the game seems to run pretty well on my Xperia Play but not on my Iconia, and I thought the Iconia should be faster.
The "advanced screen" idea sounds great. Especially with the fragmentation on...
To me, the 10" tablets are a bit big for TPA (when holding it in portrait orientation). I'm guessing that a 7" Tegra 3 like the Nexus 7 is going to be awesome for TPA.
Is there any way to improve the ball frame rate on a Tegra 2 system? I'm trying to play on an Acer Iconia A500 running ICS, but the ball is hardly visible on the table, appearing (to me) to show up only every other frame or so--maybe fewer than that. I also have an Asus TF300T running ICS...
Is there a difference between a 3-ball 1billion and a 3 regular + 3 buy-in 1billion? Yes. The leaderboards should reflect that, I think.
But I, for one' wish I had a bunch more cheat options than I do with these tables. Why should I ever lose a ball to the outlanes without having touched...
Personally, I'm really impressed with the amount of work and updates that FarSight is putting into TPA. It has its problems and bugs (I'm a PS3/PSV user, so I've dealt (and I'm dealing) with my fair share of them), but the list of improvements we've received and are going to be receiving just...
I can't believe I'm the first person to mention it on all eight pages here, but I'd really like to see Frank Thomas' Big Hurt (Gottlieb). As much as some of these other tables sound interesting, it's BH that I really want to play.
I sure wish there were a working Big Hurt around here these days. My personal record was actually over 2 billion on a physical machine. Of course, if there were one around here, I'd probably never do anything else, so...
Having Frank Thomas' Big Hurt show up in TPA would be a dream come true for me. I spent every lunch period one summer sinking quarters into that game. There was a great version of it on VP a few years back; played exactly like the arcade. Honestly, as much as I've enjoyed machines from WPHoF...
Do any of these tables support paid extra balls in real life? I'd really like to be able to extend some of my games like I can in the arcade (depending on machine, of course). I don't know if supporting that function would somehow screw everything up (adding features = added complexity, I get...
ScotchYeti,
Yes, I have re-downloaded it so that I could play the new DLC tables, and my ToM scores are still regularly 2x as high on Vita as on PS3. Bear in mind that I'm not trying to be one of these "FarSight Sux!" haters I see running around. I loved WPHoF, and I'm actively supporting...
I noticed the lag when I first got the game a few months ago, and it hasn't gotten better. ToM is pretty much unplayable. I can get twice as good of a score on my PSV as I can on my PS3, whereas I was just as good (or bad, really) on PS3 as I was on PSP with WPHoF.
