Couldn't agree more. In fact, it took me a second to figure out what I was supposed to be doing and why I was getting 50 million points every time I made a loop, ramp or trunk shot.
Thanks, all.
Not only did I get to Grand Finale for the first time ever, but I completed it as well! Needless to say, I blew my old high score out of the water. I managed to hit three wizard goals in one game to complete the set (100 mil jackpot in Magic Multi-ball, all eight illusions, Grand Finale) and...
Device/OS: Nexus 7 / 4.2.2
Bug Description: Dr. Dude - Camera gets stuck on the Molecular Mixmaster after making the Gazillion Point Shot.
Steps To Reproduce: Make the Gazillion Point Shot.
Frequency: Unsure, as I've only scored the shot once, so it's 100% so far.
Some people on the forums have expressed a desire to see this table released, but the main reason people are focusing on CC is because it is a confirmed upcoming table.
I thought that the flipper gap issue had been rectified. At least, in version 1.9 on Android (I think this was the STTNG release) the flippers narrowed considerably along with the rest of the table getting a serious tune-up.
I honestly think CC is a lock. I'll be pretty surprised if it's something else. I think the real speculative focus is on what the other table will be. People have made some good points and there are some good candidates.
Couldn't agree more. Getting an extra ball is pretty simple on this table. Unfortunately, it would probably turn out that this couldn't be done without resetting everyone's goals.
I used to play a lot like this. I'm still no pinball expert, but I've transformed quite a bit. Start cradling the ball more on the flipper, waiting for it to settle, and then attempting to make specific shots. If you keep at it, you WILL get better, but it'll take some practice.
Obviously, I'd like them to all be completely polished and perfect. As I've stated in other threads, I have a very sharp eye for detail, so the smallest defects can really bug me.
On the other hand, the question you pose is actually a really tough one for me if it were to mean never getting...
Ugh. I do not want to upgrade to Windows 8. I'm gonna try to hold out for Steam to end the greenlight process, or perhaps Farsight's new XBox 360 publisher can get them on Steam. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
This thread took a bit of an odd turn, didn't it?
Back on topic, I'm sure that Farsight is fully aware that if the tables aren't bundled, the less popular table will sell considerably less. Not as many people would buy Genie as AFM. In order to shore up expected income, Farsight requires you to...
Here's also hoping for Jack*Bot. It would be nice to have the complete trilogy. Safecracker seems like less of a sure thing, but many people would be quite pleased to see it.
By my count the following have been confirmed:
Williams:
Space Shuttle
Whirlwind
Pin*Bot
Gottlieb:
Victory
I wouldn't mind seeing a few other of the Gottlieb Collection (or Sorcerer, for that matter) but I've really taken a shine to older tables lately. I love how merciless they are.
Still, I would suspect it has more to do with your technique in how you approach this particular table. I've experienced the same phenomenon, but for me, it's on Funhouse.
Then again, maybe you're right and it's a problem that will need to be addressed on this table, but don't rule out your...
For me, the bugs are a pretty minor issue as long as they don't occur all the time. Weird stuff happens on real tables, too, so I just look at it that way. Don't get me wrong, I do hope that eventually all the bugs get ironed out, and most of the major ones do during the beta process.
I was...
I would love to see Who Dunnit make its way into the game. I think we're going to start getting lots of tables like this once Farsight has exhausted the tables that were released in the Williams and Gottlieb Collections.
Most of the tables from the Williams Collection will eventually make it into The Pinball Arcade. Many already have on some platforms. Check out this thread for a good summation of upcoming developments with the game...
