It is necessary if you want to consistently get high scores and wizard modes. Without nudging, sure you can have a good game every once and a while, but not consistently.
This is good advice. Work on nudging to eliminate the SDTM drains. Nudge waaay early, the instant you see that the ball is...
They do look different in a dim room, but not as these new screens look. I have played this table quite a bit in a dim arcade. The colors look way off. As do many of the other tables. Same discussion has come up on about every other release. When I say color blind I'm not trying to insult or be...
HAHA it's not cheating! I have been told a few times that nudging or "shaking the machine", as they call it, was cheating too. Although, the average person doesn't realize all the nuances of pinball, or that they even have rule sets and all the wizard modes the newer ones have.
Here's a tip for Centaur: Always try to spell ORBS in order. Always. It gives you instant 2 ball multiball. So trap and aim, because you don't want to hit the targets out of order.
Hitting targets on the fly can be strange in TPA. For example, the Gift of Gab shot on Dr Dude is almost...
The thing is, if you don't trap, you are just flipping and hoping most of the time. This is the road to drain city. The trap allows you to set up your shots and hit them consistently.
For some shots you dont have to trap, but you still want the ball to be predictable. example would be when...
The flipper and ball physics definitely need upgraded.
Flippers have always felt wonky to me. Slow, not snappy enough. As mentioned many times in the past, go back and play Pro Pinball, the flippers are so much better, and that was nearly 20 years ago.
Ball physics are strange too. It feels...
Yea it's pretty good, especially for a free game. It's based on Brogue, which I like too, but Stone Soup is my favorite roguelike right now. It is available for android, but I prefer playing it with a mouse.
PC: Stone Soup Dungeon Crawl and Spelunky. I really want to play Papers Please, probably get it later in the week.
My Phone: Pixel Dungeon, Flood Tower
PS3: Shadow of the Colossus, last year's Hockey game.
I like this answer. For me, pinball is fun, that's why I pay it.
Good tips here, but I don't think anyone mentioned this one: LEARN THE RULES OF THE TABLE. Pick one table and learn the rules as completely as possible, read a strategy guide or tips on that particular table.
You gotta keep practicing!
Pinball is a game of mistakes. Sort of like chess. Anytime a ball drains, think of what you did to cause that ball to drain, and NEVER DO IT AGAIN.
Start targeting every shot. Do not just fling the ball around and expect results. So unless you are saving the ball...
