Don't worry about trying to force yourself to master using a stick over a pad just because. I mean, if you want to, fine, but just saying, nothing wrong with using a controller. Lots of high end competitive players use controllers these days. Use whatever is most comfortable/effective for you.
Alpha 2
3rd Strike
Hyper Fighting
Super Turbo
Ultra IV
My top 5. Honorable mention to Alpha 3.
(And to the EX games for fun characters like Skullomania, Cracker Jack and Doctrine Dark, even if the games themselves suck.)
Nope, that was a common misunderstanding people had from the announcement video.
All versions of Pinball FX3 only offer the table pack.
Individual table purchases are only for Zen Pinball 2 on Mac.
Occasionally, if I try to start the game on Switch while the Switch is online, the game will get an error and close. If I try again, it just keeps happening. But if I disconnect the Switch, start the game, then reconnect, I can start the game and use online features with no problem.
I mean, it'd be nice if that were true, but casual shovelware is indeed still a huge market. 3DS eShop, Switch eShop, mobile, Vita PSN, PS4 PSN, Steam, they're all packed full of it. Companies wouldn't keep pumping it out like crazy if it wasn't selling. It's not a past gen thing. While the Wii...
Ah, you're right, I can't hold the flippers simultaneously in one mode as well.
It should work properly with the Switch Grip, however. Remember that the Switch Grip requires you to disconnect the Joycons from the system. I just tested controlling the game in vertical mode with the Joycons...
Did you try both the clockwise and counter-clockwise vertical orientations?
The physical controls work for me in both vertical modes. However, in one of them, the left flipper button also toggles the enhanced graphics. But everything works properly in the other vertical mode.
I like the nudging in the release version on Switch. Tilt is nice and sensitive, nudging is pretty reserved, no shifting the ball around the open playfield like in TPA, and a full power forward nudge while cradling only makes the ball shoot up maybe an inch.
Don't feel too bad, they'll make more money off of this than they would have off of a table pack.
The Game Party series on Wii all hit platinum. They sold millions of downloads of them.

So a collection of a few not very good looking lounge games is one of their big non-TPA projects they've been working on? Yikes.
