It's great! I foresee myself spending too much time in there ;) VERY thankful to have a place like that so close. Whole experience was made that much better by such a cool and knowledgeable owner
So I had a few good conversations with the owner. He only has two machines on revshare (I'm assuming the Sterns, Batman and Xmen) and the rest are actually his own machines! Turns out he is a collector and had over 30 pins at one point. He just bought a Top Gun which will be out very shortly...
Ok here ya go.... The LOTR table is actually from a bar up the street. Also in surprisingly good shape. Sorry for the blurry pics. I'll get better ones when I'm not stalking some stranger on the machine. Now I can stalk someone I actually know ;)
I took A bunch the last time I went. I'll get some more and put them up tonight or tomorrow. Lemme see what I can find from my last trip.
Oh and they were all in perfect working condition the last time I went. I think the owner rents his machines, which is how he can change them so often. There...
Lol yes you were ;)
And LOL at the rest!!! I'm like, totally, with you on that. Get JP, Slam,Rom, Francisco, Tipoto, and the gang jobs at FS!
And yes. The sound on VP is awful. TPA kills in that department. They just need the correct sound FX. But when u do ever recall hearing proper sound...
Lol fair enough, but I must counter!
Sticking with T2. It isn't just that it is enhanced to look pretty. It actually looks "real" to my eyes. As in, not a cartoon video game version of a table ie: TPA. Don't get me wrong, for the most part TPA does have MOST VP tables beat hands down...
Finally got the timing worked out with my only pinhead friend to go to the new pinball cafe in Toronto tonight! Here's the lineup they have currently (changes ever month or so). Any pointers?
■BAD CATS – Williams 1989 $0.50/3 balls
■BATMAN – Stern 2008 $1.00/3 balls
■DOODLE BUG – Williams...
Ok I fiddled with every table and they have definitely made changes to the physics, for the better! Also the flipper lag had been reduced but not eliminated. However...for some odd reason not every table seems to be upgraded. CV is still a floaty mess, but MB and TOTAN feel amazing!
In need of some scores to chase!
So I only have one friend on PSN that has TPA. And he isn't very good at it as he doens't play much. I need some scores to chase. PLEASE feel free to add me.
(note the desperation in my tone)

Yanno, I haven't played TPA in about a week. Usually when I'm away from it that long I get rusty. Today, my first game back on MM and I increased my score from 25M to 65M, even beating my score on my 360 by a few million. I did notice the flippers felt better (less laggy), but wasn't sure if it...
As much as I hate to say it, other than the fact that TPA has 3D, VP (ESPECIALLY with the new T2 table) blows TPA out of the water in physics, lighting, REAL pinball sounds, and just all around. You can perform drop catches, live catches, cradle separations. This is based on FS tables as I can't...
100% whole heartedly agree. Was just a last ditch shot at being able to play those stern tables. Bah. The physics are much improved but the flippers are still garbage. VP FTW!
