Last night on the PS3, I did a very soft launch of a ball, such that it barely cleared the launch area. The camera stayed fixed on the plunger and somehow got a second ball launched. So I had multiball going but could not see what was going on because the camera was still on a plunger view.

The plunger on the PS3 is not good. It's wildly inconsistent in power and has too few gradations in power level. It feels very much digital instead of analog - with a big jump in power in the middle. Also, the plunger, at least on Funhouse, doesn't even pull back all the way, limiting your...
Not referring to high scores but stuff within the game. Like:
- most Rudy Hits in one game? (~60)
- highest Super Frenzy total (~4,500,000)
- highest Trap Door bonus (3,000,000 - though I did 5,000,000 a bunch of times on PHOF; for some reason, I struggle like mad at times with the multiball)...
The best deal on PSN is Playstation Plus. 12 games for free up-front plus three new ones every month. Free games include Infamous 2, Saints Row 2, and Virtua Fighter 5. $50 a year, it's a steal. And you get online backups of your saves, automatic downloading of patches and updates and so on...
What I have found works pretty well is to only shoot for the castle from the left flipper and to bounce it off the barrier on the right side so that the ball deflects before hitting the castle. This makes it far less likely to STDM after hitting the castle.
Not that I'm an expert at the game...
I think the only ones I would swap on Funhouse would be the Sausage wizard goal and the Gangway extra ball goal. Sausage is very easy to get where the Gangway is much tougher. Other than that, I think they're all pretty much spot-on.

How about something that tracks statistics for each individual game? # of times played, # of games aborted, extra balls earned, extras per game, average score, highest # of Rudy Hits on Funhouse, and so on? Or maybe something that tracks how many times you've completed a standard/wizard goal...
I finally got the HAREM goal on TOTAN last night. After my game, it unlocked all the Wizard Goals - and I completed every single one of them in the game where I'd unlocked HAREM. ARGH. It's nonsense to have to redo them all.

I spent over an hour on Black Hole last night and found myself going crazy at how ridiculously unfair the lower playfield is. So I came on here to get some tips on this table - my high score being just over 600,000 - and discover that the table isn't playing correctly. What a relief! I...
Cabinet view is a top-down view of the playfield itself so that all you see is the playfield, not the sides of the cabinet, not the plunger outside the cabinet, etc. Imagine looking at a real pinball machine in real life, only the playfield is a TV. Then what you'd see on that TV is a "cabinet...
I also agree that the scoring on this table is wildly unbalanced. I got the billion point shot tonight for the first time and was actually rather let down after doing so. It just seemed too easy. I remember when the game came out, a couple co-workers and I hit a bar that had gotten it. We'd...
Even without "Youtube videos being too dark", the playfield is too dark. Sitting there in my man cave playing Funhouse, the playfield is just too dang dark.

It's false to say that ALL youtube videos are knowingly too dark. The ones I've uploaded myself were unchanged for brightness.
That said, TPA on my TV isn't as dark as in the video but it's still too dark - and the problem is most definitely not the brightness on my TV.

Seeing that video confirmed for me that the PS3 version is far too dark. The playfield simply does not look like that in real life. It just doesn't. The one from the PS2 version is far more accurate.
Now, the LIGHTING in the TPA PS3 version is good - all the effects and flashing and all that...
