Funny there's this thread as I was actually thinking about this exact subject last night. And my answer:
Yes, TPA should have gone pre-rendered. The graphics on several of the tables - Gorgar and CFTBL being two prime examples - are simply not up to the standard set for this generation of...
For me, the 4-way was not much of a problem at all. The skill shot? That one is hard. Well, it's not actually hard - in real life it's very easy - but hard because Farsight butchered that aspect of the game. It's not that the plunger is too sensitive it's that it's just implemented poorly...
I've only completed all the Wizard goals on a handful of tables - Bride of Pinbot, Funhouse, Gorgar (well, it still says I have one left but I've done it just not gotten credit), and maybe one or two others. Bride of Pinbot was far and away the easiest. I seem to recall having more trouble...
I appreciate the reply. This is the first time in the literally dozens of times I've seen this issue raised that some explanation has been given as to why it occurs. Based on your answer, however, this is definitely an area that needs further exploration as the current implementation is simply...
Not sure if this occurred in prior versions but:
Offline scoring is not syncing with the online leaderboards. I played several games while offline, beating my high score on at least 3 games. The next day I came back, was online, played a bunch of games - and my high scores on the leaderboards...
It seemed to boost me to 12x bonus as well. Am pretty sure I wasn't already that far up on bonus.
So I guess the issue is not so much the goal, or how it registers, but the instructions for the goal - which specifically tell you the code and imply that will get you the goal.

So I did the code for Lyman's Lament to try and get the Wizard Goal. After entering the code correctly at least 5 or 6 times, I still did not get Lyman's Lament activated. Then, 2 balls later, Lyman's Lament randomly started (no, I hadn't made the shot 44 times). When it did, instead of...
Since the very first version of TPA, we've been hearing complaints of goals - both standard and wizard - not registering when completed. It happens across all tables. It seems to happen across all platforms. Whether it's the Standard Goals on Funhouse - where I had to complete EVERY goal at...
I was able to get the 4-way combo and actually got credit the first time I completed it. It DOES work and it DOES register. Like EVERY OTHER FREAKING GOAL IN THE GAME, however, sometimes they just randomly don't register.

I'm having no trouble with trapping the ball. Just hold up the right flipper after making the center shot and you'll catch the ball when it comes down from the jet bumpers.
My problem is that I completed this twice and didn't get credit either time. The first time, I hit the fourth shot -...
I do software QA for a living and you're hardly the only one to say a similar comment but I just gotta say:
Sometimes it's really NOT the QA/test group's fault. Sometimes QA reports a bug and management just simply says "screw it, we'll release anyway". Been there many, many times myself...
On at least the PS3 version of this table:
1) The red light for the extra ball on the mirror is a LOT dimmer and less noticeable than the yellow and green lights - to the point where I had to look really closely to even tell it was on when it was on. This is both when it's flashing and when...
Well, actually...
Royal Flush was made by Amtex. Prior to Royal Flush, they published Tristan pinball (developed by Little Wing). After Royal Flush, they did Eight Ball Deluxe.
In Eight Ball Deluxe, there was a button you could click that would show you an upcoming game from Amtex -...
I think part of the reason for the slower kickstarter is that some people put extra money into the TZ one to try and reach the stretch goal.
I do agree, however, with those suggesting we should get some updates on the TZ progress. Bad form to ask for more money for another license without...
Yeah, let's see... my favorite "fake" pinball tables ever + a new table from the designer of my favorite real table (Funhouse). Uh, yeah, SIGN. ME. UP. If this was for a PS3 version right away, I'd already be throwing money at them. I'll still support this, even for just a PC version.
